[00:00:00] Nine Lives, Nine Chances to Get It Right?
[00:00:03] This week, we're revisiting a film that might have used up all of its lives.
[00:00:08] The 2004 film Catwoman.
[00:00:11] Get ready for some serious, head-scratching moments, questionable CGI, and the burning question,
[00:00:18] did we judge Catwoman too harshly?
[00:00:21] Welcome to the No More Late Fees podcast. I'm Jackie.
[00:00:37] And I'm Danielle, and we're just two best friends and ex-blockbuster employees re-watching
[00:00:42] some of the best and worst movies from the late 90s and early 2000s.

[00:01:52] Welcome, Ashley.
[00:01:55] Hello. Thanks for having me back.
[00:01:58] We're so happy you're back. I can't wait to get into this movie with you.
[00:02:04] If you want to get to know Ashley a little bit better, check out our Ever After episode, as well as our interview with her that we did last season, and then come back later this week as we discuss movies that are so bad they're good in our bonus episode.
[00:02:18] Okay, Danielle, let's scratch into Catwoman.
[00:02:22] Scratch.
[00:02:23] I'm gonna keep it simple and brief.
[00:02:25] Okay.
[00:02:26] Catwoman follows Patience Phillips, a timid graphic designer who stumbles upon a corporate conspiracy and gains superhuman abilities after a horrific attempt at her life.
[00:02:39] The movie stars Halle Berry, Benjamin Bratt, Sharon Stone, Lambert Wilson, Frances Conroy, and Alex Borstein.
[00:02:47] The movie was directed by...
[00:02:50] Patoff?
[00:02:51] I don't know.
[00:02:52] I don't know.
[00:02:53] Written by John Rogers, John August, and Dale Loner.
[00:02:58] Okay, so three men wrote a women-centric movie.
[00:03:03] That sounds about right. It's a comic book movie.
[00:03:05] And you can watch it on Prime.
[00:03:06] But before we start, let's get into our ratings rewind.
[00:03:09] So you know the drill.
[00:03:11] Before we get into the movie, we'll reveal the rating our Y2K versions of ourselves we give.
[00:03:16] Then at the end, we'll see if our current selves agree with our initial rating.
[00:03:20] Our scale consists of would buy it, would buy it again.
[00:03:23] The best would play and repeat.
[00:03:25] Five-day rental.
[00:03:26] Would watch again.
[00:03:28] Two-day rental.
[00:03:30] Okay, but nothing to write home about.
[00:03:33] And same-day rental.
[00:03:34] Go ahead and play in the trash, kitties.
[00:03:40] Some toxic weight.
[00:03:41] Because it's garbage.
[00:03:43] I am a fervent Batman person.
[00:03:46] Listen, I was so excited for this movie.
[00:03:48] Okay, I remember Halle Berry was on the cover of Harper's Bazaar.
[00:03:52] And it was like, she's a whole spread to promote this movie.
[00:03:56] I ripped all the pictures out.
[00:03:58] I had them on my wall.
[00:03:59] I was like, Catwoman, yes.
[00:04:00] Because this is before the internet like that.
[00:04:02] So I didn't know that the one that they gave her a different name.
[00:04:05] Nobody was in Gotham.
[00:04:07] I thought this was an origin story.
[00:04:09] Some Batman year one type bullshit.
[00:04:11] No.
[00:04:14] It was terrible.
[00:04:16] Same-day rental.
[00:04:17] I wouldn't even look.
[00:04:19] Same-day.
[00:04:19] It would have been like right out the VCR.
[00:04:22] Wouldn't even rewind it.
[00:04:23] Just throwing it back at the people at the blockbuster.
[00:04:27] Well, tell us how you really feel, Ashley.
[00:04:33] Danielle, what was your opinion of Catwoman?
[00:04:39] So every now and again,
[00:04:42] I would like to say I'm like Nostradamus.
[00:04:46] There are movies I just know.
[00:04:49] I'm not going to do that to myself.
[00:04:51] The first time I really felt like I did myself right in Justice was Wild Wild West.
[00:04:59] Don't slander Wild Wild West.
[00:05:00] I haven't seen it, but I did not.
[00:05:03] Like, I knew it might be a train wreck.
[00:05:06] When we have to do it on the show, I might change my mind.
[00:05:09] Now, when it came to Catwoman, I said the same thing.
[00:05:13] Did Halle Berry look bad as fuck because she looks gorgeous?
[00:05:17] Yes.
[00:05:18] But I knew tis not something I needed to see.
[00:05:23] So this is a I ain't seen it.
[00:05:27] First time watcher.
[00:05:29] Oh, how about you, Jackie?
[00:05:31] This was the era where I had my own money and I would just buy whatever came out that week.
[00:05:38] Like me and Suncoast.
[00:05:40] So I had a ritual.
[00:05:42] I would go to Outback every Tuesday with my friend and then we would go to the mall because Outback was next to the mall.
[00:05:48] And we go to Suncoast video and I buy my DVDs that came out because DVDs came out on Tuesdays.
[00:05:54] And then we would go to GameStop and buy any video games we wanted to buy.
[00:05:58] It was what we did.
[00:05:59] So I owned Catwoman, but I think I bought it before I watched it.
[00:06:06] If that makes a difference.
[00:06:09] I'm surprised you, like I feel like by the time they came out on DVD, like we all knew collectively it was terrible.
[00:06:18] My blinders were on.
[00:06:20] Wow.
[00:06:21] I can't believe you bought it.
[00:06:23] But all right, let's get into the box office.
[00:06:26] Yes.
[00:06:28] So this movie, they gave this movie a hundred million dollar budget.
[00:06:35] Can't tell.
[00:06:36] And I will die on this.
[00:06:39] Like I go into these tangents sometimes because the thing is, DC should not be as far back in the game as they are.
[00:06:49] They should not because they have always owned all of their properties.
[00:06:56] They definitely weren't going through the bankruptcy situation that Marvel was going through during this time.
[00:07:02] They've always had a leg up.
[00:07:04] And what I never understood is why when you have source material as good as the comic books,
[00:07:11] and then you have a banging ass animation team.
[00:07:15] Like the animation, the movies from the animation team were always on point.
[00:07:21] The TV shows from the animation, always on point.
[00:07:24] So I could never understand why they couldn't get these motherfucking movies right.
[00:07:29] The same thing goes for when we started getting into like they made Smallville.
[00:07:34] So now we're like playing with the formula, making it fun.
[00:07:38] We're seeing shit that works.
[00:07:41] Why when you go to make the movies, do you do stupid shit?
[00:07:45] Why do you give the Superman, new Superman movie to that fucking pedo who fucked up the X-Men movies
[00:07:54] and don't get Tom Welling to play fucking Superman and transition that shit?
[00:07:59] Why do you not get the guy playing fucking Barry so well on that damn show that lasted nine years
[00:08:08] to play the fucking movie instead of that other pedophile crazy person?
[00:08:13] Like why do you keep on fucking up your bag like this?
[00:08:17] Don't get me started.
[00:08:19] You see this?
[00:08:20] You see the amount of money?
[00:08:22] I've given the tech.
[00:08:24] This is not even a small portion of my collection, okay?
[00:08:28] I could talk about DC breaking my heart for years and not have scratched the surface of the shit show.
[00:08:36] Well, when we get into how we got here, you're going to be even more upset.
[00:08:42] But the film received negative reviews from critics, obviously.
[00:08:48] And many of them considered this movie to be one of the worst films of all time.
[00:08:53] Now, all time is a lot.
[00:08:55] That might be a stretch.
[00:08:56] That's a little bit much.
[00:08:57] We've seen some shit on this show, and I would have to say it's not even that serious.
[00:09:03] But the criticism was directed at the performances, the direction, the visual effects, the editing,
[00:09:10] the costume design, the pacing, the plot, the score, the dialogue,
[00:09:14] and of course, the unfaithfulness to the source material.
[00:09:18] Because are we in Gotham?
[00:09:20] Where is Batman?
[00:09:21] We've got questions.
[00:09:24] Also, the film received seven Golden Raspberry Award nominations.
[00:09:29] And it won Worst Picture, Worst Actress, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay.
[00:09:34] But we've got to give props to where props are due with Halle Berry because she showed up and she accepted her Razzie.
[00:09:41] I think this is like one of those random things where it's like the same year she won the Oscar, she won a Razzie or something crazy like that.
[00:09:49] Yeah, I think like she showed up, the Razzies were like the day before.
[00:09:53] But, you know, she took it with a grain of salt.
[00:09:56] And I'll probably go on another rant before this episode is over how we've been playing in our sister's face if she had to do this bullshit and how they never gave her storm properly.
[00:10:06] But that's a whole nother story.
[00:10:08] You know, the Halle Berry wig theory?
[00:10:11] Yes.
[00:10:12] Worst of wig, girl.
[00:10:15] The film appeared on Lil Raj, Roger Ebert's most hated films list.
[00:10:20] He criticized the filmmakers for giving little thought to providing Berry with a strong character story, supporting characters or action sequences.
[00:10:30] But he primarily criticized the film for failing to give the audience a sense of what her character experienced as she was transformed into Catwoman.
[00:10:40] And he also referred to it as being a movie about Halle Berry and her like sex appeal and her beauty versus anything like of substance.
[00:10:52] And it does get that right.
[00:10:54] If you're just into smut, this is the best movie to just eye candy.
[00:10:58] But if you like comic books and Catwoman as a character and Halle Berry as an actress, this isn't for you.
[00:11:06] This isn't for you.
[00:11:07] And they gave it a thumbs down.
[00:11:09] And you know what, Raj?
[00:11:11] I have to agree.
[00:11:13] Yeah.
[00:11:15] Two thumbs down.
[00:11:16] All the way down.
[00:11:18] But before we get into cast and crew, let's hear a message from our pod pals.
[00:11:27] There's too many homalosers, too many tremors, but I like to watch them for rotten treasure.
[00:11:37] Hello, I'm Kai Bobby, co-host of the Rotten Treasure podcast, where I talk with my friend Jim O'Donnell and a special guest about movie franchises that arguably went on a little longer than they should have.
[00:11:48] Hey, Jim, what movies do we review?
[00:11:50] Home Alone.
[00:11:51] Home Alone 2, Lost in New York.
[00:11:54] Home Alone 3.
[00:11:55] Home Alone 4, Taking Back the House.
[00:11:57] Wait, wait, wait.
[00:11:57] Home Alone, Holiday Heist.
[00:11:59] We review more than just Home Alone movies.
[00:12:03] Tremors.
[00:12:04] Tremors 2, Aftershock.
[00:12:06] Do we have any guests?
[00:12:07] Do we have guests, Jim?
[00:12:09] Scott Campbell.
[00:12:10] Robert and Donnell from Watching It.
[00:12:12] Sarah Carter.
[00:12:13] Okay, how do people find us on the internet, Jim?
[00:12:16] Follow us at rotten underscore treasure on Instagram.
[00:12:19] At rotten treasure on Twitter.
[00:12:21] Rotten treasure on Facebook.
[00:12:22] You know what, that's enough of your list.
[00:12:24] So, folks, if you still want to find us, you can listen to us on your preferred podcast app, such as Spotify or Apple Podcasts or podbean.com.
[00:12:34] Google Podcasts.
[00:12:35] Listen Notes.
[00:12:37] Not SoundCloud.
[00:12:41] We're back.
[00:12:42] There's not a lot of stuff with casting.
[00:12:45] What do you got?
[00:12:45] Yeah.
[00:12:46] Well, the role of Ophelia Powers was originally offered to Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the TV series Batman from 1966.
[00:12:56] She made a good choice.
[00:12:57] Although I didn't hate Sharon Stone in this.
[00:13:00] No.
[00:13:01] The two main actresses, they were giving crap, and they did their best with what they were given.
[00:13:10] They did the best that they could.
[00:13:12] Yeah.
[00:13:13] Josh Lucas was considered for the role of Tom Lone.
[00:13:18] I didn't hate Benjamin Bratt in this movie.
[00:13:22] He had good chemistry, but, like, also...
[00:13:26] Like, have chemistry with a wall.
[00:13:28] Yeah.
[00:13:29] Yeah.
[00:13:29] That's true.
[00:13:31] That's very true.
[00:13:33] Yeah.
[00:13:33] We could talk about some of the cast, but I really want to get into, like, how we got here.
[00:13:37] Okay.
[00:13:38] So, as we all know, we, as a collective, from a live action standpoint in the movies, we got our Catwoman with Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns, right?
[00:13:51] And she did fantastic.
[00:13:53] Everyone was obsessed with her.
[00:13:55] Everyone was in love with her.
[00:13:56] So, Warner Brothers was like, okay, we're going to start developing a solo Catwoman movie, right?
[00:14:05] So, they started to develop Batman Forever in June of 1990.
[00:14:10] Now, the thing to remember is that Batman Forever, Tim Burton said, I'm not coming back for that, right?
[00:14:16] So, they started going in a different direction with that shit.
[00:14:19] But he was still on board to do this Catwoman spinoff.
[00:14:24] So, it was announced Michelle Pfeiffer was going to be cast to reprise her role.
[00:14:29] Tim Burton said he was going to direct.
[00:14:31] And the producers, Denise D'Novi and Daniel Waters, also were going to return.
[00:14:36] So, you got the same team.
[00:14:37] But then, in 94, Burton was like, I'm unsure about if I'm going to direct this or not.
[00:14:44] Or am I going to do an adaptation of the fall of the House of Usher?
[00:14:49] So, things are teetering out.
[00:14:52] Now, we're in June 16th, 95.
[00:14:55] Daniel Waters, he decides he's going to turn in his script for Catwoman to Warner Brothers.
[00:15:01] This is the same time that Batman Forever is released.
[00:15:06] And he even jokes that turning it in on the day that Batman Forever opened may not have been my best logistical move.
[00:15:15] In that, it's the celebration of this, like, very shifted from Tim Burton's very dark movies of, like, what was great about Batman into this, like, everybody could see it.
[00:15:29] But it's, like, a jokity, joke, joke, joke movie.
[00:15:33] And he was like, Catwoman is definitely not a fun for all, for the whole family kind of vibe.
[00:15:39] Then we get to August 95.
[00:15:41] Michelle Pfeiffer has an interview.
[00:15:43] And she reiterated that she is still interested in this spinoff.
[00:15:47] But her priorities are shifting.
[00:15:49] She has children.
[00:15:51] She's a mother.
[00:15:52] And she's got commitments to other projects, like, she can't hold off forever.
[00:15:57] Then the film labored in development hell.
[00:16:00] And now we've lost Pfeiffer.
[00:16:03] Ashley Judd has been positioned as she will be taking the role.
[00:16:07] And this is around 2001.
[00:16:11] Eventually, Ashley Judd drops out.
[00:16:13] Now we have Nicole Kidman.
[00:16:14] Which I'm confused because that bitch was just in one of those damn Batman movies.
[00:16:19] Well, that was Uma.
[00:16:21] Was she?
[00:16:21] Yes.
[00:16:22] Oh, yeah, she was Val Kilmer's.
[00:16:25] Was she Val Kilmer's girl?
[00:16:27] I think so, yeah.
[00:16:29] Or was she Michael Keaton's first girl?
[00:16:31] No, Michael Keaton had Kim Basinger, yeah.
[00:16:34] Oh, yeah, so it was Val Kilmer's girl.
[00:16:35] Yeah.
[00:16:36] Then, Warner Brothers canceled a Batman vs. Superman film that they had scheduled for 2004.
[00:16:42] And so then they decide quickly to produce a Catwoman movie and say, okay, we're going to have Halle Berry do it.
[00:16:51] Berry says, sure, because she was supposed to get a solo spinoff of her Bond movie because she played that Jinx character from Die Another Day in 2002.
[00:17:02] And that falls through.
[00:17:04] So she's like, sure, I'm available.
[00:17:06] And then it's just shit.
[00:17:08] We don't have any of the same people that we started off with that we had hopes, a glimmer of a really good kick-ass Catwoman movie.
[00:17:19] And they lost the plot.
[00:17:21] And it goes under reshoots.
[00:17:23] So imagine how shitty this movie is.
[00:17:26] At some point, it was worse.
[00:17:28] Because audience saw it and said, this is garbage.
[00:17:32] You guys need to go fix this.
[00:17:34] And this is the fixed version.
[00:17:36] It's wild to me because it's like, I can see sometimes when the script doesn't exist.
[00:17:41] Or a lot of Marvel movies got made before Disney bought it, before they lost the rights kind of thing.
[00:17:51] But I'm like, you owned it.
[00:17:55] Right.
[00:17:56] You could have just made the movie with the script and changed it a bit.
[00:18:05] Because what was it supposed to be?
[00:18:07] A sequel to the movie?
[00:18:08] I think it was.
[00:18:09] I can see how that gets funky.
[00:18:12] It would probably have to be like.
[00:18:13] But then it was like, you've got 50 some odd years at that point of Catwoman.
[00:18:20] Right?
[00:18:22] Like, Bob Crane and Bill Finger got together and wrote all these characters.
[00:18:28] You've got 50 years.
[00:18:30] 50 years of shit to pull from.
[00:18:34] And you make a Catwoman movie.
[00:18:38] And it's not even about Catwoman.
[00:18:41] Yeah.
[00:18:42] That's what I was just.
[00:18:43] That's what threw me off.
[00:18:44] Because it's kind of like my beef with reboots.
[00:18:48] Right.
[00:18:48] Like, just call it something else.
[00:18:50] Yeah.
[00:18:50] I feel like I wouldn't be so angry about this movie if she wasn't, if it wasn't Catwoman.
[00:18:58] The connected feline lady.
[00:19:00] Like, you know, like, studios will rush to get like a similar movie out.
[00:19:06] And it's like.
[00:19:07] Yeah.
[00:19:07] Like, was it?
[00:19:08] Like, no strings attached and friends with benefits.
[00:19:10] Yeah.
[00:19:11] Yeah.
[00:19:11] That's like movies.
[00:19:12] Yeah.
[00:19:12] Yeah.
[00:19:13] Feline lady instead of Catwoman.
[00:19:16] Like, something where.
[00:19:17] Because it makes no sense to only use the name Catwoman and nothing about her.
[00:19:25] And nothing about where she lives in Gotham.
[00:19:30] And like, it just doesn't make any sense.
[00:19:33] Why?
[00:19:34] Why would you change everything about it?
[00:19:36] Yeah.
[00:19:37] And if they could have done it like outside of Gotham.
[00:19:39] Because I get like Catwoman.
[00:19:42] They could have done it in like a different city.
[00:19:45] Right?
[00:19:45] Like Bloodhaven or something.
[00:19:47] Where like, there aren't people there.
[00:19:49] And have it be like, oh, this is Selena before she came to Gotham.
[00:19:54] Yeah.
[00:19:54] But then you didn't even name her Selena.
[00:19:56] No.
[00:19:57] The only thing you took about Catwoman is not even.
[00:20:00] It's like the movie or the Tim Burton movie origin story of Catwoman.
[00:20:06] So she has like supernatural powers versus like Catwoman who's just like a cat thief.
[00:20:12] Fine.
[00:20:13] But it's like.
[00:20:16] The connective tissue to the source material was non-existent.
[00:20:23] So it's like they.
[00:20:26] Partly, you know what?
[00:20:27] What I'm starting to think is that somebody said we.
[00:20:31] You can make Catwoman, but it can't be Selena Kyle.
[00:20:34] Because I feel like maybe somebody was still holding on to we're going to make the Selena Kyle one.
[00:20:40] Or we're about to roll out another Batman movie and we want to have Selena Kyle in that.
[00:20:46] And not.
[00:20:46] Like even though in comic books we understand a multiverse.
[00:20:52] But for these studio execs, I just feel like they're not grasping that.
[00:20:57] But then they play into it because naming her a different name could be that multiverse situation.
[00:21:05] And there are scenes in this movie where there when the Francis, the character.
[00:21:11] I forgot what her name.
[00:21:12] Her character name is.
[00:21:13] She's showing her all the other Catwoman people in the past.
[00:21:17] You see Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman.
[00:21:20] Yeah.
[00:21:20] So there is a connection that it's like they are some sort of collective.
[00:21:25] There's some sort of group.
[00:21:27] They're coming from the same source.
[00:21:29] But like not really talking to that without it being some sort of Easter egg is a disservice to the people who are watching the fucking movie.
[00:21:39] Like.
[00:21:39] Yeah.
[00:21:39] And then you don't understand it.
[00:21:42] Like because yes, we saw the 92, 91 one with Michelle Pfeiffer and kind of see her origin story.
[00:21:51] We still don't grasp what this is because now this one has superpowers essentially.
[00:21:57] When the other girl, not so much.
[00:22:01] You know?
[00:22:01] It's just like they really did us, the viewers a disservice.
[00:22:07] And then these poor actors who are trying to make some something work.
[00:22:12] And I don't know why they did this.
[00:22:15] And what's unfortunate more than anything is that it was a black actress having to endure.
[00:22:22] Like it's a good thing it wasn't the internet.
[00:22:24] Could you imagine the fanboys and what they would have put Halle Berry through for this role?
[00:22:32] Like hair.
[00:22:33] Yeah, it would have been.
[00:22:34] You know they hate a movie about a woman, even if the character has always been a woman.
[00:22:38] Yes.
[00:22:39] Yes.
[00:22:40] And then to change her race, quote unquote.
[00:22:43] Now Catwoman is a little bit different than some of the other characters because we had Arthur Kitt.
[00:22:48] So it's kind of like.
[00:22:49] Also year one comic book Catwoman is black bald woman.
[00:22:54] So good.
[00:22:56] But you know these comic book boys, because when Zoe Kravitz, who is a biracial woman and still was catching heat for being Catwoman, it's just like.
[00:23:06] Can we get a break, y'all?
[00:23:08] I'm childy bored.
[00:23:10] They don't care.
[00:23:11] They'd be like, oh, you're making a movie about a woman with characters that even if you don't change their race, there's like a woman.
[00:23:19] And why are we making Captain Marvel?
[00:23:24] Like Madam Web was.
[00:23:26] I refuse to see that movie.
[00:23:28] But I mean, those characters are with it.
[00:23:31] Why are you mad?
[00:23:32] Right.
[00:23:34] That was real.
[00:23:36] Sony needs to stop.
[00:23:37] But that's a whole nother subject.
[00:23:38] So that is the origin.
[00:23:41] This is how we got here.
[00:23:43] So a lot of really dumb people making stupid ass decisions and the movie didn't come out, turn out well at all.
[00:23:52] And I think the whole cast was kind of had that cloud of like over them for a while, which really sucks because it's not their fault.
[00:24:01] And I do want to say, you can't tell me Catwoman is worse than the Daredevil movie.
[00:24:08] I'm not saying that they're like Catwoman is better.
[00:24:13] I'm just saying you can't give Catwoman all this shit and Daredevil exists or the first Fantastic Four movie exists.
[00:24:21] Those movies were not great.
[00:24:24] I don't remember Daredevil, but I remember every Fantastic Four movie has been absolutely atrocious.
[00:24:30] Well, I'll tell you this.
[00:24:32] That scene when they're playing basketball in this movie.
[00:24:38] It's just it's just a sister scene to Daredevil in the park.
[00:24:44] Yes.
[00:24:44] Did you not get those vibes?
[00:24:46] Like as you're watching, like I've seen Scratch the Surface.
[00:24:50] I've seen this somewhere before.
[00:24:52] It felt very familiar.
[00:24:54] I didn't my brain didn't reach in the recesses and pull out Daredevil.
[00:24:58] But I'm like, I've I've seen this before, but in a different font.
[00:25:02] Yes.
[00:25:03] Yeah.
[00:25:04] Percent.
[00:25:05] We don't get like a feeling of what exactly is her goal.
[00:25:09] No.
[00:25:10] Is she a thief or is she trying to stop the thieves?
[00:25:13] I think you know, like, I feel like somebody went and said, okay, Catwoman.
[00:25:21] Right.
[00:25:22] Right.
[00:25:22] And they were like, okay, she's the antihero, but she's a cat burglar.
[00:25:26] But then they were trying to still pull in.
[00:25:29] I think that stuff from like, I think they were trying to pull in too much stuff from Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman to tell a story.
[00:25:36] And that wasn't Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman because it was like the supernatural, like coming back to life thing.
[00:25:43] Right.
[00:25:44] And then there was the like the personality switch.
[00:25:48] Yeah.
[00:25:49] Suddenly, like, she's got like two personalities.
[00:25:53] Yeah.
[00:25:53] The pre fight person and the but then they don't do a good job of doing that.
[00:25:58] That's what it is.
[00:26:00] Of executing that either, where it's like, you don't get a lot of time with Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman from the time from the beginning of the movie to when she transitions into Catwoman.
[00:26:12] You get about as much time with her as you do with Halle Berry's Catwoman.
[00:26:20] So you still you but you so you don't really get the motivation there.
[00:26:25] But I feel like too much time was spent doing other things.
[00:26:32] It was just like, it just never like connected.
[00:26:35] It was just like, what is happening in this movie?
[00:26:37] Like, I was like waiting for like, okay, so they killed her.
[00:26:40] It was literally shot for shot the beginning of Batman Returns.
[00:26:46] It's like, oh, she's she's got to go deliver something somewhere.
[00:26:49] They catch her like she's running away.
[00:26:51] She falls down the sewer and she dies and the cats bite her and she wakes up and suddenly she's like feeling frisky and she cuts up a leather jacket and gets mixed in.
[00:27:01] I was like, this is the same.
[00:27:02] Yeah.
[00:27:03] Just shot for shot.
[00:27:05] The same movie, but done terribly.
[00:27:08] Yeah.
[00:27:09] It felt very much like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but it didn't translate.
[00:27:15] Like they didn't.
[00:27:16] They put so much effort into like other storylines that we didn't need where it was like you could have focused on her.
[00:27:25] And I think the only real solid scene where we get that is like where she goes and robs the jewelry store.
[00:27:32] And then the next morning she wakes up and she's very apologetic and returns all the jewelry, except for the necklace she liked.
[00:27:40] Like, I thought the necklace was going to be like this actually this resonates with you because it belongs to the cat people.
[00:27:47] Yeah.
[00:27:47] And you're taking it back or something like it would have been great if she finds out like now she's a part of this long lineage that goes all the way back to Africa.
[00:27:56] And she's got to go find the people who have been hurting her lineage forever, like something that makes fucking sense.
[00:28:03] And none of that ever happens.
[00:28:06] I also find myself extremely irritated by Patience character in general.
[00:28:13] Like, I don't like a passive bitch.
[00:28:16] I can't do it in real life or fake life.
[00:28:19] Like, make a decision, get a backbone and stop this shit.
[00:28:23] Like, you are not a victim.
[00:28:24] Get the fuck up.
[00:28:25] Like, what is going on?
[00:28:27] I did appreciate that Alex Borson's character is kind of like the voice of reason.
[00:28:34] Like, she was always like ride or die for Patience, but at the same time she's like, girl.
[00:28:38] Right.
[00:28:39] You need to go.
[00:28:40] Yeah.
[00:28:41] And I felt like she was motivated to, she should have been more motivated to find out what the hell was in that, the products because her friend is sick.
[00:28:52] Like, it would have been something if her friend was just like in a coma and she had to figure it out or whatever.
[00:28:58] It was just, it was all over the place.
[00:29:01] And then like, oh boy finds out who she is real fast.
[00:29:06] Her handwriting is different, but then the same.
[00:29:10] And then she bolts like a little bitch when she gets put in jail.
[00:29:14] Like, she had the potential to be more badass.
[00:29:17] I would have been able to ignore a lot more if she like leaned into that.
[00:29:23] We needed that thing that triggered her into the Catwoman.
[00:29:28] Like, that thing that happens, like someone's really mean to her or something where she switches that and goes into Catwoman mode and becomes like her bad bitch self.
[00:29:39] And we never got that transition.
[00:29:43] And also, Selena Kyle is not stupid.
[00:29:48] And I feel like Patience, not so bright.
[00:29:51] Because that crazy bitch that is her like, I don't know, villain, plays her so, so much.
[00:29:59] And Selena is smart enough to make sure, you know, she could keep up or be ahead of Batman sometimes.
[00:30:05] Yeah.
[00:30:05] Right?
[00:30:06] And now I got to deal with Patience who's just like, oh yeah, I'll take your cell phone and put it in my cooter cat and I'll be back.
[00:30:14] Because we're partners in crime.
[00:30:16] Like, what is that?
[00:30:17] Yeah.
[00:30:17] It doesn't make any sense.
[00:30:19] Because like, even like, like now, because I didn't know going into it, that all that stuff about it basically coming from, I always thought it was weird.
[00:30:29] The parallels, like thinking that from to Batman Returns.
[00:30:32] But knowing that it's like, based off of a script that was supposed to be about that Catwoman, that whole movie makes sense to me now.
[00:30:40] Yeah.
[00:30:40] Because I'm just like, oh, okay.
[00:30:43] Just so much of it.
[00:30:45] Just like, it feels like I'm watching.
[00:30:49] Like, watching Batman Returns, if somebody took out all the Batman parts.
[00:30:54] Yeah.
[00:30:54] Because Sharon Stone is just Christopher Walken.
[00:30:59] Yes.
[00:31:00] Right?
[00:31:00] But there's no Penguin.
[00:31:02] Like, instead of trying to get Penguin to run for mayor, you know, it's like, oh, we've got this cream.
[00:31:08] It is weird that you never really know, like, what's in the cream.
[00:31:12] You just know that, oh, the FDA said we shouldn't do this because, but then it also did make sense that Sharon Stone had superpowers at the end.
[00:31:21] Yeah.
[00:31:22] It was like, it was like, okay, there's this cream killing people or is it giving them superpowers?
[00:31:27] I don't understand.
[00:31:29] Because if you're telling me that, like, old girl from Miss Maisel, right, is sick, right?
[00:31:35] And then, like, and she's, like, and you tell in the movie, like, she's like, oh, like, oh, I'm like, she's sick.
[00:31:41] She's in a hospital from this cream.
[00:31:43] This other girl, you saw her whole face look like, you know, it had been cut up.
[00:31:47] But then Sharon Stone is using the cream and has basically turned her face into marble and she has, like, superpowers.
[00:31:56] It didn't make any sense.
[00:31:57] It made absolutely no sense that if cats, like, let's think about this logically, okay?
[00:32:06] If Catwoman, right, if Halle Berry, Patience, whatever, has supernatural cat-like powers, okay?
[00:32:17] Why, why did it take so long for her to beat Sharon Stone's ass?
[00:32:21] Yeah.
[00:32:21] Yeah.
[00:32:21] Okay, but you want me to believe that after all this time, you've been telling me that this chemical is extremely dangerous and it's slowly killing people, but it made Sharon Stone basically, like, one old girl from, like, Death Becomes Her?
[00:32:39] Like, I don't understand.
[00:32:40] Yeah.
[00:32:41] It doesn't make any sense.
[00:32:44] Because Alec Borstein's character ends up in the hospital, like, it's causing neurological damage to her.
[00:32:51] But Sharon Stone, who's been using a whole hell of a lot more of this cream for a lot longer, are the headaches just a phase and then you move into marble phase?
[00:33:00] Yes.
[00:33:01] So she's been using it to so many different formulas.
[00:33:05] So each formula, they keep upping the ante, essentially.
[00:33:09] Because remember, the scientist is like, okay, I signed up for, I didn't sign up for this, though.
[00:33:14] Like, it's getting, every time we try to improve it or make it more, it gets even crazier.
[00:33:21] And so she's gotten some sort of immunity to it at this point because the thing is, after a certain point, you either keep on taking it or die.
[00:33:32] Like, you're fine as long as you keep taking it.
[00:33:35] So she keeps taking it.
[00:33:37] But at this point, her nerves are so fucking damaged from putting this shit on, she feels nothing.
[00:33:45] She feels no pain.
[00:33:46] Nothing hurts.
[00:33:47] But at the same time, you might not feel it, but you should be able to bleed, bitch.
[00:33:52] You should be, not be able to get up.
[00:33:55] Like, how bad your nerves damage that you can walk?
[00:33:57] Do you know what I'm saying?
[00:33:59] Right.
[00:33:59] Like, it's like, okay.
[00:34:01] Like, I'm not, like, far be it for me as a comic book person to talk about science.
[00:34:05] Because I'll be watching Batman whoop some alien's ass and I'll be like, okay.
[00:34:09] But it's just like, at least there's like, you can understand how we got there.
[00:34:14] I'm watching this movie like, she's not bleeding.
[00:34:17] Oh, because her face is marble now or whatever.
[00:34:19] And I was like, so she's like invincible?
[00:34:21] She fell out the window and she died?
[00:34:25] And she still wasn't bleeding?
[00:34:27] I was like.
[00:34:28] Yeah.
[00:34:28] And it was just like, okay, so if her body's marble, like it's outside marble, but all her bones, like how she died?
[00:34:36] Like, marble cracks, I guess, if you drop it off the part.
[00:34:39] It didn't make any sense.
[00:34:40] And I was like, why are we just not reviewing, like revealing this at the end of the movie?
[00:34:45] Yeah.
[00:34:45] I was like, it just felt like.
[00:34:48] Somebody said, oh, this doesn't make sense.
[00:34:50] How are they even foes against each other?
[00:34:52] It would be one thing if she like used the science and had a chemical that could like make Catwoman not be able to move or something, you know?
[00:35:01] And then the kitty cats, midnight gotta come save her or some shit.
[00:35:04] Something that makes more logical sense because we know Lex Luthor doesn't have special powers, but because he's smart and he has money, he's able to do shit, right?
[00:35:15] Is it sad that the entire movie, the thing that made me mad the most was that they called the cat something generic like midnight?
[00:35:24] I'm like, you're telling me this is a cat with ancient Egyptian Mao powers and we're just going to call the kitty midnight?
[00:35:32] Not vast.
[00:35:33] Yeah.
[00:35:34] Not isis.
[00:35:36] Midnight.
[00:35:36] Yeah.
[00:35:38] That was the point that made me irrationally angry for some reason.
[00:35:44] Well, like, so we go back to the beginning of the movie.
[00:35:47] We meet Patience.
[00:35:48] She's very timid.
[00:35:49] She works for this cosmetics company.
[00:35:52] She's a graphic designer.
[00:35:53] She gets chewed out every fucking day from her French.
[00:35:58] I believe he's French in real life.
[00:36:00] So I'm going to say French boss who is also going through some changes because his wife has always been the face of the company.
[00:36:07] And now he is getting rid of her, demoting her and bringing on a younger, hotter version.
[00:36:14] I don't know if hotter, but younger version.
[00:36:17] And so she's pretty pissed, but she sees, saw it coming and is just like, whatever.
[00:36:23] So they're going through that transition.
[00:36:25] And the thing that got me is you're a multi-billion dollar company.
[00:36:31] You are the CEO.
[00:36:33] Do you know how many CEOs know who the fuck the graphic designer is?
[00:36:37] Yeah.
[00:36:38] You have at least four to five underlings in between you and the graphic designer.
[00:36:44] If you don't like a design, you're not going to the graphic designer.
[00:36:48] You're going to your marketing director, your CMO.
[00:36:50] You're like a plethora of people first before you're even, you're never talking to the fucking graphic designer.
[00:36:59] Yeah.
[00:36:59] So that was just out of my brain that you're calling her to the office and then you're going to her desk to just like rant at her.
[00:37:08] I don't get that.
[00:37:09] Don't you usually outsource graphic design?
[00:37:12] No.
[00:37:13] Well, I guess if it's something like if it was Estee Lauder, right?
[00:37:16] There's like somebody there doing it, but it was just like, I didn't realize it was the CEO.
[00:37:24] Because I was just kind of like, what's happening?
[00:37:27] At that point, I was already like, all right.
[00:37:28] I also, we skipped the part where she has to have her superhero or anti-hero statement at the beginning of the movie via voiceover.
[00:37:42] Where it's like, it starts out as, it all started on the day that I died.
[00:37:48] It was also the day I started to live.
[00:37:50] And I'm like, from that point on, I knew.
[00:37:56] I hate a voiceover.
[00:37:59] I hate a voiceover.
[00:38:01] Like, who is she talking to?
[00:38:02] Is it us?
[00:38:03] I guess so.
[00:38:05] But you're already telling the audience this movie is poorly written in two sentences.
[00:38:10] Like, I hate an expository sentence.
[00:38:13] Just start the movie.
[00:38:15] Yeah.
[00:38:17] So she is getting roomed out pretty much.
[00:38:22] And so she's got to work late to fix this marketing dilemma.
[00:38:28] And we find out who she is.
[00:38:29] She has a best friend who's always encouraging her.
[00:38:32] And it's like the comedic relief.
[00:38:34] And she has to go, I guess, to another building, a plant or something where they manufacture everything to bring over the specs.
[00:38:44] Because the product is supposed to roll out.
[00:38:46] It's supposed to launch.
[00:38:47] And when she gets there, I get irritated again because she's like, hello, hello, hello, hello.
[00:38:55] And as soon as she heard those people talking, she should have just walked in.
[00:38:58] Because I feel like if she had just walked in, they wouldn't have thought she heard anything.
[00:39:04] Yeah.
[00:39:04] And she could have gone about her business.
[00:39:07] But no, she's saying, hello, hello, hello.
[00:39:10] And then they start, of course, like fucking James Bond villains telling the whole plot of what is going on with this horrible beauty product.
[00:39:21] And so she hears it.
[00:39:23] And she, of course, hits something and it falls.
[00:39:26] And so now they're like, who is that?
[00:39:29] And so the security guards are trying to track her down.
[00:39:32] And they send her through some sort of, she runs through some pipes and they flush her down the sewer system.
[00:39:39] And she's pretty much dead.
[00:39:41] And then here comes Midnight and the crew for some catnip.
[00:39:45] And they scratch and bite up on her.
[00:39:49] I don't know what the fuck they're doing.
[00:39:51] I would have been sneezing in this scene.
[00:39:53] Sneezing back to life.
[00:39:55] And she wakes up the next day.
[00:39:58] I believe she's like, is she not on a shelf or something crazy?
[00:40:03] Like.
[00:40:03] Yeah.
[00:40:04] Yeah.
[00:40:04] She's perched somewhere.
[00:40:06] Yeah.
[00:40:06] And Midnight is there.
[00:40:09] Is he not?
[00:40:10] Is he there when she wakes up?
[00:40:12] I think so.
[00:40:13] Well, because there was a scene prior.
[00:40:15] We have exposition we don't need.
[00:40:18] Right.
[00:40:18] Where there's a scene prior where the bar across the street is open crazy late and playing loud music and she's trying to sleep.
[00:40:24] And then there's this cat on.
[00:40:27] Oh, sorry.
[00:40:29] Our baby deer just ran across the window.
[00:40:32] Oh.
[00:40:32] And the other thing is Midnight is not black.
[00:40:38] So why are we going to see that Midnight?
[00:40:40] Like a gray and white cat.
[00:40:42] Yeah.
[00:40:43] And he's sitting on a motorcycle outside of this bar.
[00:40:47] Oh, she does.
[00:40:47] Yeah.
[00:40:48] Like it just, it doesn't.
[00:40:51] Midnight's been like scoping patients out.
[00:40:54] It seemed like for days.
[00:40:56] Just waiting for her to die so he can lick her back to life.
[00:40:59] I don't understand.
[00:41:01] Like the thing with the air conditioner.
[00:41:02] Yeah.
[00:41:03] Oh, yeah.
[00:41:04] She does climb out.
[00:41:05] She sees Midnight on like the arch of the building and she goes and tries to get her.
[00:41:13] Now, this is the moment I questioned did anyone black write this movie because ain't no way.
[00:41:21] I'm going to call the fire department.
[00:41:22] I'm going to call somebody.
[00:41:24] But I'm not going on no ledge to save no cat.
[00:41:27] And it's not my cat?
[00:41:28] Yeah.
[00:41:29] No.
[00:41:30] My cat.
[00:41:31] Maybe I'll stick my head out the window and be like.
[00:41:35] But not get on the ledge.
[00:41:37] So now she on the motherfucking ledge.
[00:41:39] The cat is gone.
[00:41:41] She trying to catch the cat.
[00:41:43] Cat caught her out in the streets.
[00:41:46] And then, but maybe I would do it to get a hot, a hot man.
[00:41:52] Because now there's a hot cop thinking that she's trying to commit suicide.
[00:41:55] So he runs up and runs into her house trying to save her.
[00:41:58] And turns out, you know, she's like, no, I'm just trying to get this cat who's not my cat.
[00:42:03] And he asked her out because he finds this to be hot.
[00:42:08] He's got an ASPCA membership.
[00:42:10] And so like, yeah, they're like.
[00:42:13] She's like, all right.
[00:42:14] And then she tells her friend about it.
[00:42:16] And she's like, oh, I don't know if I should go.
[00:42:19] Bitch.
[00:42:21] Yes, you should go.
[00:42:23] Yes, you should go.
[00:42:25] It's Benjamin Brett.
[00:42:26] There's not even a question.
[00:42:28] So all of this shit is happening.
[00:42:30] And then she misses the motherfucking date because she's going through her transition.
[00:42:36] And he's waiting at the cafe for her, calling her whatever.
[00:42:40] And she's just trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
[00:42:43] And she looks at Midnight's collar to try to figure out where the hell he came from.
[00:42:47] Because he is at the root of her problems.
[00:42:49] Then she finds this motherfucking charmed house in the middle of the city.
[00:42:56] I ain't never seen nothing like that in Manhattan where there's just like a regular old house surrounded by buildings.
[00:43:04] Yeah.
[00:43:05] Giving up.
[00:43:06] Yes, it's giving up.
[00:43:07] Exactly.
[00:43:08] That is exactly what it is.
[00:43:10] And she goes and knocks on the door.
[00:43:12] And this bitch, somebody need to call the health department.
[00:43:16] You know what?
[00:43:17] She was giving me the vibes of that cat lady in Jeepers Creepers.
[00:43:20] Because why you got so many motherfucking cats?
[00:43:24] You're sick.
[00:43:25] You're going to get sick.
[00:43:26] There's a limit on how many cats you can have in the house.
[00:43:30] Your lungs can't take it.
[00:43:32] She's a what?
[00:43:33] She's a mystical woman.
[00:43:35] She's a witch.
[00:43:37] I know allergies.
[00:43:38] They're not even cats.
[00:43:41] They're spirits.
[00:43:43] Probably, right.
[00:43:44] That's too much.
[00:43:45] I hope them cats are cleaning up after themselves.
[00:43:48] There's too much motherfucking cats.
[00:43:49] They're magical cats.
[00:43:50] They're not poofing or shedding.
[00:43:53] And I want a magical cat because that sounds lovely.
[00:43:57] And what I don't understand is she brings Midnight back to this lady's house.
[00:44:01] And then the lady's pretty much like, I got answers for you.
[00:44:05] And she's like, I can't.
[00:44:06] It's too hot.
[00:44:07] It's too much.
[00:44:07] I gotta go.
[00:44:10] Bitch, you woke up on a shelf.
[00:44:12] You woke up on a shelf.
[00:44:15] You're eating tuna from a can with your fingers.
[00:44:21] There ain't no way.
[00:44:22] I feel like if I show up, if I find out that this cat's been following me around and I take this cat back to some witchy old white woman's house, I might not go inside either.
[00:44:32] You know what I mean?
[00:44:33] Yeah.
[00:44:34] Like, it's given, was it about Lovecraft Country?
[00:44:37] I feel like this is apart from Lovecraft Country.
[00:44:40] If Tim Burton had did it, it would have been that white woman would have took her inside and like cut her open and then injected her with something.
[00:44:47] And then she would be a catwoman.
[00:44:48] You know what I mean?
[00:44:48] Yeah.
[00:44:50] And then we also see like catwoman come out because the bargain is playing loud music the next night.
[00:44:58] But now she got her powers and she like goes into the bar, like destroys their speakers and then uses the kegs like hose as a whip and is just whipping all these bikers.
[00:45:12] And I'm like, I don't know.
[00:45:14] This to me was the most entertaining scene in the whole movie where she's just beating up some hairy white dudes.
[00:45:21] I'm like, okay, I get you.
[00:45:23] They're keeping you up at night.
[00:45:25] Fair.
[00:45:26] Do what you will, Patience.
[00:45:29] I mean, I would have been scared of her because that shit's crazy.
[00:45:33] That bitch wilding.
[00:45:34] I don't know.
[00:45:34] I gotta go home.
[00:45:36] But she's doing all this.
[00:45:38] And after this, she goes and does her makeover.
[00:45:40] But before this, she finds, I'm like, okay, I'm supposed to go on a date with a police officer.
[00:45:47] I missed the date.
[00:45:49] Do I call the precinct and say where he's, where is he at?
[00:45:53] And they just tell me they don't know shit about me.
[00:45:56] And I show up at a motherfucking school.
[00:45:59] Yes.
[00:46:00] Are they letting people just on the premises of schools nowadays?
[00:46:04] Like without any identification?
[00:46:07] Look, that's the most believable part about this whole movie.
[00:46:14] Some public school just letting some strange woman into the yard because she says, I'm with the cop.
[00:46:20] I mean.
[00:46:20] And then proceeds to have a very inappropriate sexual like one-on-one game.
[00:46:28] But like if the globetrotters were doing it because she's doing flips and shit.
[00:46:35] Jumping off of the walls.
[00:46:38] Probably.
[00:46:41] And he finds this interesting because he's like, you know what?
[00:46:46] You were on the ledge before.
[00:46:49] Now you're doing parkour at the park.
[00:46:52] And you found me.
[00:46:54] That calls for a date.
[00:46:57] I feel like, I don't know why they made that.
[00:47:02] Like Halle Berry's fine.
[00:47:03] Yes.
[00:47:04] But so is Benjamin Bratt.
[00:47:06] Yes.
[00:47:06] And I don't think he's hard up for a woman.
[00:47:09] You know what I mean?
[00:47:10] Yeah.
[00:47:10] And they made him look so thirsty.
[00:47:12] Like that he's like, oh, this woman chased a cat onto a ledge for inexplicable reasons.
[00:47:18] Stood on top of an air conditioner and almost died.
[00:47:20] I want to take her out.
[00:47:23] And this woman shows up at like figures out where I am somehow.
[00:47:28] And like is doing like is very athletic.
[00:47:32] It's like, oh.
[00:47:33] Like none of this is like.
[00:47:34] But then men are dumb.
[00:47:36] So you know what?
[00:47:38] I feel like if it was the other way around, that woman would be like, oh, I'm scared for her life.
[00:47:43] You know?
[00:47:43] Right.
[00:47:44] Like why are you at my.
[00:47:46] Not even my place of work.
[00:47:48] It's all of it scary.
[00:47:49] What were you going to say, Jackie?
[00:47:50] Oh.
[00:47:50] When he takes her out on their D.
[00:47:54] The way she eats that sushi was troubling.
[00:48:00] She was like.
[00:48:04] And you know what was funny when I was watching that scene?
[00:48:07] I was looking down.
[00:48:08] I don't think I was looking at the screen at the moment.
[00:48:10] But all I heard was.
[00:48:12] And I said, what in the world is happening?
[00:48:17] And turns out she was raw dog in the sushi.
[00:48:22] I don't know.
[00:48:24] It was weird.
[00:48:25] It was so unsettling.
[00:48:26] And I would have.
[00:48:27] If I were Benjamin Bratt.
[00:48:29] I don't care if she is Halle Berry hot.
[00:48:32] I would have been like, check please.
[00:48:34] This bitch can't even eat the rice.
[00:48:36] She can't use some chopsticks.
[00:48:38] What the fuck is going on?
[00:48:42] Very uncultured.
[00:48:43] I'd be scared.
[00:48:43] I'd be like, when I met this woman, she was all.
[00:48:47] Right.
[00:48:47] And then on Monday.
[00:48:50] And then Tuesday.
[00:48:51] She's like.
[00:48:52] A whole different person.
[00:48:54] I'd be like.
[00:48:56] Is this.
[00:48:56] Is this.
[00:48:57] Multiple personalities.
[00:48:59] I would have immediately been like.
[00:49:02] Sus.
[00:49:03] Are you on drugs?
[00:49:05] I would have thought she was on drugs.
[00:49:10] You're a cop.
[00:49:11] He must be.
[00:49:12] He's a terrible police officer.
[00:49:13] Terrible.
[00:49:14] But she did those.
[00:49:16] It wasn't actually fish.
[00:49:18] Raw fish.
[00:49:19] That she was downing.
[00:49:20] It was chunks of fruit.
[00:49:22] Fruit molded to look like raw fish.
[00:49:24] So she was having fruit roll-ups.
[00:49:26] She was.
[00:49:28] Yum.
[00:49:30] What I do love is that.
[00:49:32] After that scene of her coming back to the apartment.
[00:49:34] After she whipped the people next door.
[00:49:37] She decides to have a manic ass.
[00:49:41] Haircut.
[00:49:42] That she gives her.
[00:49:43] She rocks the best Karen.
[00:49:45] Size.
[00:49:49] That's awesome.
[00:49:50] The Kate from John and Kate Plus 8 special right there.
[00:49:54] That haircut.
[00:49:55] That haircut had a choke hold on Halle Berry for a good 15 years.
[00:49:59] It did.
[00:50:01] I was like.
[00:50:02] Girl.
[00:50:03] It's like.
[00:50:04] Did your friends ever tell you.
[00:50:07] Don't ever cut your hair when you're like upset.
[00:50:11] Like.
[00:50:12] Wait till the moment has passed.
[00:50:15] Don't.
[00:50:15] And I did like.
[00:50:17] I did appreciate like her soft waves at the beginning.
[00:50:20] And then to go.
[00:50:22] And I know is to like up the severity of like the Catwoman cut.
[00:50:26] But I'm like.
[00:50:27] Patience had such pretty hair.
[00:50:29] And now like.
[00:50:31] We're asking for the manager.
[00:50:33] She looked like a wet mop with the under hair.
[00:50:36] I liked it.
[00:50:37] And.
[00:50:38] I don't know.
[00:50:39] Either way.
[00:50:40] It was just ridiculous.
[00:50:41] But let's talk about this costume.
[00:50:44] Let's.
[00:50:45] Cause.
[00:50:45] Cause.
[00:50:46] Does every bad bitch.
[00:50:48] Secretly have a leather outfit in a box.
[00:50:50] That I don't know about.
[00:50:51] I was so confused about that.
[00:50:53] Oh.
[00:50:53] Because I was like.
[00:50:55] It was giving.
[00:50:56] Again.
[00:50:57] This is a shot.
[00:50:57] It did a shot for shot fucking remake.
[00:51:00] Of Batman Returns.
[00:51:02] So like Selena.
[00:51:04] Just like.
[00:51:05] Well at least we knew Selena sewed.
[00:51:07] Right.
[00:51:08] Like that was.
[00:51:08] Before we see her do the costume.
[00:51:11] You already see.
[00:51:13] That she's like.
[00:51:14] Has all these like sewing things around the apartment.
[00:51:17] So it's like fine.
[00:51:19] But it was.
[00:51:20] They.
[00:51:20] They did a throwaway line.
[00:51:22] With the.
[00:51:23] It was Sally.
[00:51:25] Her friend Sally.
[00:51:27] And.
[00:51:28] The other guy that they work with.
[00:51:31] And he's like.
[00:51:32] Wear that sexy leather thing.
[00:51:34] I bought you for your.
[00:51:35] Your birthday.
[00:51:36] And she's like.
[00:51:36] I'm never wearing that.
[00:51:38] And then that's what she uses.
[00:51:39] For the cat woman.
[00:51:41] Oh shit.
[00:51:42] Just like.
[00:51:43] You know what my friends have never done?
[00:51:45] Bought me an entire leather outfit.
[00:51:48] You know.
[00:51:49] With the wrong people.
[00:51:50] Can you.
[00:51:51] Can you imagine the cost?
[00:51:53] Yeah.
[00:51:54] Like.
[00:51:54] Like that's real leather.
[00:51:56] And she ripped it all up.
[00:51:58] And she ripped it up.
[00:51:59] And it was just like.
[00:52:00] Also.
[00:52:01] What proof do we have?
[00:52:02] Does the sewing come with.
[00:52:05] The cat power?
[00:52:06] Like she's a graphic designer.
[00:52:09] Right.
[00:52:10] I feel like.
[00:52:11] What are we doing here?
[00:52:12] You know how to sew.
[00:52:13] And it was just like.
[00:52:14] So.
[00:52:15] It was just like.
[00:52:16] Okay.
[00:52:16] You have a jacket.
[00:52:17] But let's talk about the tenets of sewing.
[00:52:20] Right.
[00:52:21] Michelle Pfeiffer's costume.
[00:52:23] Look like it had been ramshankled together.
[00:52:26] By somebody cutting up a coat.
[00:52:28] Right.
[00:52:29] Right.
[00:52:29] You can see like.
[00:52:30] It was always like.
[00:52:30] Coming apart at the seams.
[00:52:32] Right.
[00:52:33] And you can see.
[00:52:34] The stitches.
[00:52:35] Yeah.
[00:52:36] Somehow.
[00:52:37] You know.
[00:52:38] It's always like.
[00:52:38] How I always.
[00:52:39] Was questioned.
[00:52:40] Like.
[00:52:40] What did Peter Parker.
[00:52:42] Was he taking home at classes?
[00:52:44] Was Aunt May.
[00:52:46] A seamstress.
[00:52:48] Like why does.
[00:52:48] Why is Peter Parker so good at sewing.
[00:52:50] That he could make these fucking suits.
[00:52:52] Same way I asked about how they buried his hat.
[00:52:55] Like the construction of it.
[00:52:57] Because it's like.
[00:52:58] You cut up a jacket.
[00:52:59] And then made it.
[00:53:00] Into a bra.
[00:53:02] Somehow that's support.
[00:53:03] And your boobs never fall out.
[00:53:06] And it's like.
[00:53:07] Where did she.
[00:53:08] It don't make no sense.
[00:53:09] Yeah.
[00:53:09] Well.
[00:53:10] Apparently her boobs did fall out.
[00:53:13] Because she had issues.
[00:53:15] With the costume's practicality.
[00:53:17] When first trying it on.
[00:53:18] And actually complained.
[00:53:19] That it was too tight.
[00:53:20] And uncomfortable.
[00:53:21] And then.
[00:53:22] The costume itself.
[00:53:23] Had to be fixed a few times.
[00:53:25] For production.
[00:53:25] As the leather bra she wore.
[00:53:27] Would actually fall off.
[00:53:28] At times.
[00:53:29] Oh.
[00:53:30] Okay.
[00:53:30] You can't tell me.
[00:53:32] A man didn't plan that.
[00:53:35] Like a man.
[00:53:36] Like a woman.
[00:53:36] Like a woman.
[00:53:37] Didn't make that costume.
[00:53:38] No.
[00:53:38] Or if a woman.
[00:53:40] Probably.
[00:53:40] Didn't make that costume.
[00:53:41] But told most.
[00:53:42] Like a man.
[00:53:43] Showed up with a drawing.
[00:53:44] Yeah.
[00:53:45] And was like.
[00:53:46] Yeah no.
[00:53:47] This works in the cartoon.
[00:53:49] Yeah.
[00:53:50] On like an actual person.
[00:53:51] Like.
[00:53:52] We can't make.
[00:53:52] Like structurally.
[00:53:53] It's not gonna hold up.
[00:53:54] But he was probably like.
[00:53:55] Do it.
[00:53:56] Yeah.
[00:53:57] Well.
[00:53:57] Well.
[00:53:57] The cat suit.
[00:53:58] The cat suit was designed.
[00:53:59] By Academy Award winning.
[00:54:00] Costume designer.
[00:54:02] Angus.
[00:54:02] Strathy.
[00:54:04] Together with Barry.
[00:54:06] He worked with Halle Berry.
[00:54:07] Well he worked with Halle Berry on it.
[00:54:10] And the director.
[00:54:11] Put off.
[00:54:13] And producers.
[00:54:14] DeNovi and McDonald's.
[00:54:16] So Strathy explained.
[00:54:17] That they wanted.
[00:54:18] A reality based wardrobe.
[00:54:20] To show the progression.
[00:54:21] From a demure.
[00:54:23] Repressed patience.
[00:54:24] To a central.
[00:54:25] Central awakening.
[00:54:27] Of a sexy warrior goddess.
[00:54:29] They could have done that.
[00:54:30] With like.
[00:54:31] If she had been wearing.
[00:54:33] Like a real bra.
[00:54:34] Yeah.
[00:54:34] Like a Xena.
[00:54:35] Xena warrior princess.
[00:54:36] Yes.
[00:54:37] I mean.
[00:54:38] It would have made sense.
[00:54:39] But it looked like.
[00:54:40] She cut the sleeves.
[00:54:41] Off the jacket.
[00:54:42] And sewed one going this way.
[00:54:44] And one going the other way.
[00:54:45] And it's like.
[00:54:46] That's not.
[00:54:47] And what was that walk.
[00:54:49] She was doing.
[00:54:53] But I did like that song.
[00:54:55] I remember that song.
[00:54:56] That one.
[00:54:56] That one.
[00:55:01] I used to be my dad.
[00:55:02] It was.
[00:55:03] The Britney Spears.
[00:55:04] Britney Spears song.
[00:55:05] Was supposed to be in it.
[00:55:07] But.
[00:55:07] Britney Spears had like.
[00:55:09] An accident.
[00:55:10] And then.
[00:55:11] Like.
[00:55:11] It got scrapped.
[00:55:12] So she.
[00:55:13] You know.
[00:55:13] She.
[00:55:14] We were robbed of a Britney song.
[00:55:16] I know.
[00:55:16] Yeah.
[00:55:17] It would have been the only saving grace.
[00:55:22] Oh boy.
[00:55:23] So.
[00:55:23] Now.
[00:55:24] She is.
[00:55:26] Catwoman.
[00:55:27] She.
[00:55:29] Is walking with her boo.
[00:55:31] Or.
[00:55:31] Or her friend.
[00:55:32] I forgot who she was walking with.
[00:55:34] But she sees this cool ass necklace.
[00:55:36] In the.
[00:55:37] The.
[00:55:38] The store.
[00:55:39] In the glass.
[00:55:40] And then her alter ego goes.
[00:55:42] And.
[00:55:44] Wants.
[00:55:44] Goes to go steal it.
[00:55:45] But as she goes to go steal it.
[00:55:47] She runs into other teeths.
[00:55:49] And.
[00:55:50] They.
[00:55:51] They have to fight each other.
[00:55:53] She beats their ass.
[00:55:55] Next thing in the morning.
[00:55:56] She has a fucking.
[00:55:58] Paper bag.
[00:55:59] Full of jewelry.
[00:56:00] Sorry.
[00:56:01] And.
[00:56:03] She feels really bad.
[00:56:04] Because.
[00:56:04] And she knows.
[00:56:05] It was stolen.
[00:56:06] She keeps the necklace.
[00:56:07] As we said.
[00:56:08] And.
[00:56:08] She writes sorry.
[00:56:10] On the paper bag.
[00:56:11] So then.
[00:56:11] The next thing is that.
[00:56:12] We see Benjamin Bratt.
[00:56:13] At work.
[00:56:14] At the scene.
[00:56:16] And.
[00:56:17] We.
[00:56:17] And realize that.
[00:56:20] Oh.
[00:56:20] It's the same person.
[00:56:21] Like he looks.
[00:56:22] He has his friend.
[00:56:24] Here's my question.
[00:56:25] When she bought him.
[00:56:27] That coffee.
[00:56:28] That said sorry.
[00:56:29] It was literally like.
[00:56:30] Two to three days.
[00:56:31] Prior to this incident.
[00:56:32] Yeah.
[00:56:34] And.
[00:56:35] He is able.
[00:56:36] To give said.
[00:56:38] Coffee mug.
[00:56:39] Or whatever.
[00:56:41] With the bag.
[00:56:42] That says sorry.
[00:56:43] On it.
[00:56:43] To compare.
[00:56:44] And I was like.
[00:56:44] So did you.
[00:56:46] Just.
[00:56:46] He Joe Goldberg did.
[00:56:48] He's clearly obsessed.
[00:56:49] With that woman.
[00:56:51] All the weird shit.
[00:56:52] That he did.
[00:56:54] That she did.
[00:56:54] He was like.
[00:56:56] Not turning me off.
[00:56:57] Then he's like.
[00:56:58] He kept the coffee cup.
[00:57:01] That.
[00:57:01] That was probably.
[00:57:02] The wildest thing.
[00:57:03] In this movie for me.
[00:57:04] Like.
[00:57:05] Like.
[00:57:05] Not even a scene of him.
[00:57:06] Like.
[00:57:07] Going through.
[00:57:08] Like.
[00:57:08] Oh I haven't taken out my trash yet.
[00:57:10] Yeah.
[00:57:10] He just tried the cup.
[00:57:12] Yeah.
[00:57:13] He's just like.
[00:57:13] I got it right here.
[00:57:14] It'd be one thing.
[00:57:15] If it was just like.
[00:57:16] This looks familiar.
[00:57:17] And you see him.
[00:57:19] I would have rather seen.
[00:57:20] Like a sign of him.
[00:57:21] Like.
[00:57:22] Just going home.
[00:57:23] Like.
[00:57:23] Like doing this.
[00:57:24] And grabbing the cup.
[00:57:26] Then like.
[00:57:28] Had this cup sitting on my desk.
[00:57:30] I would have preferred to see it.
[00:57:32] Like.
[00:57:33] Joe Goldberg from you.
[00:57:35] Where he pulls out of a glass case.
[00:57:36] Of all.
[00:57:38] Clippings of her.
[00:57:39] Her hair.
[00:57:41] Her nails.
[00:57:42] Oh my god.
[00:57:43] You talk about that.
[00:57:45] Tinashe.
[00:57:46] Is somebody going to meet.
[00:57:47] They match each other.
[00:57:47] Match your freak.
[00:57:48] Yeah.
[00:57:49] They match each other's freak for real.
[00:57:51] So.
[00:57:51] Go ahead.
[00:57:52] What happens.
[00:57:53] She.
[00:57:55] Oh.
[00:57:56] After she goes.
[00:57:58] And robs the.
[00:58:00] The jewelry store though.
[00:58:02] Then she goes to a club.
[00:58:03] And orders.
[00:58:05] A white Russian.
[00:58:06] Hold the vodka.
[00:58:07] Hold the glua.
[00:58:09] So she just says.
[00:58:10] They're drinking cream.
[00:58:12] At a nightclub.
[00:58:14] And doesn't pay for it.
[00:58:15] I don't see him ask for.
[00:58:18] Nothing.
[00:58:18] She doesn't pay for it.
[00:58:20] Because I think.
[00:58:20] I'd just be so.
[00:58:21] Stunned.
[00:58:23] If I was a.
[00:58:24] Like if I was a bartender.
[00:58:26] And one.
[00:58:27] Halle Berry's gorgeous.
[00:58:28] So he walks in.
[00:58:29] And is like.
[00:58:30] Asked for a white Russian.
[00:58:32] And then asked me to take everything out.
[00:58:33] The white Russian.
[00:58:34] And then it took my brain to.
[00:58:36] Register the fact that this bitch.
[00:58:37] Is ordered a cup of milk.
[00:58:39] I feel like.
[00:58:40] I would just be.
[00:58:41] So baffled.
[00:58:43] And what.
[00:58:44] What could it have cost him?
[00:58:45] Like.
[00:58:45] Three dollars.
[00:58:47] I would have been like.
[00:58:48] I would have been like.
[00:58:49] I would have been like.
[00:58:50] I would have been like.
[00:58:50] I would have been like.
[00:58:51] I would have been like.
[00:58:51] I would have been like.
[00:58:51] Is she.
[00:58:51] Just drink milk.
[00:58:54] That's crazy.
[00:58:56] And then she's there to find.
[00:58:58] One of the guys.
[00:59:00] Who.
[00:59:00] One of the bouncer.
[00:59:02] I don't even know.
[00:59:02] Security dudes.
[00:59:03] Because she's trying to figure out.
[00:59:04] Who killed.
[00:59:05] Tried to kill her.
[00:59:06] Who killed her essentially.
[00:59:07] So.
[00:59:08] She tracks him down.
[00:59:10] They have a fisticuffs.
[00:59:11] Or whatever.
[00:59:12] I don't.
[00:59:12] I don't even know what happens.
[00:59:14] Because it's so unimportant.
[00:59:15] It's so fucking stupid.
[00:59:17] Because the source material is there.
[00:59:19] You don't need to.
[00:59:21] Question the bodyguards.
[00:59:23] To find out.
[00:59:23] Who motherfucking tried to kill you.
[00:59:25] There's only two.
[00:59:26] Potential people.
[00:59:27] Whose bodyguards are they?
[00:59:29] Yeah.
[00:59:29] You agree.
[00:59:30] That's why I was so confused.
[00:59:31] About the motivation.
[00:59:32] The character in this movie.
[00:59:33] Because like.
[00:59:34] Again.
[00:59:34] It was.
[00:59:35] They were trying to do.
[00:59:36] Batman Returns.
[00:59:37] Like where.
[00:59:37] Michelle Pfeiffer.
[00:59:38] Doesn't know.
[00:59:39] Who tried to kill her.
[00:59:40] Right.
[00:59:41] She just.
[00:59:41] She doesn't even remember.
[00:59:42] Any of it.
[00:59:43] She goes to work.
[00:59:43] The next day.
[00:59:44] And everybody's like.
[00:59:45] I thought we killed this bitch.
[00:59:46] What happened?
[00:59:47] Like.
[00:59:48] She just.
[00:59:49] She like.
[00:59:51] Doesn't remember.
[00:59:52] But you remembered.
[00:59:53] That the bodyguard.
[00:59:56] Try.
[00:59:56] So it was just like.
[00:59:57] So you remember that the bodyguard.
[00:59:58] Tried to kill you.
[00:59:59] Yeah.
[00:59:59] And there was no point.
[01:00:01] At the logical leap.
[01:00:02] That you're like.
[01:00:03] Okay.
[01:00:03] I went to go give.
[01:00:05] This.
[01:00:05] The artwork.
[01:00:06] Because she remembered doing all that.
[01:00:08] At this point.
[01:00:09] But you.
[01:00:10] Whose boss.
[01:00:10] You.
[01:00:11] You went to your job.
[01:00:13] And the bodyguard.
[01:00:14] Of the people you work for.
[01:00:16] Killed you.
[01:00:17] What you think.
[01:00:18] Just for shits and giggles.
[01:00:21] Like.
[01:00:21] I was just like.
[01:00:22] This movie's so stupid.
[01:00:24] And then.
[01:00:24] When she finally encounters.
[01:00:27] She realizes.
[01:00:28] It's the boss.
[01:00:29] Who's been.
[01:00:30] She thinks it's the guy.
[01:00:31] Who's been like.
[01:00:33] Giving her.
[01:00:34] A hard time.
[01:00:35] Yeah.
[01:00:36] And she goes.
[01:00:37] To.
[01:00:37] And finds his wife.
[01:00:38] The wife clocks her.
[01:00:40] Immediately.
[01:00:41] And says.
[01:00:42] Oh.
[01:00:42] Yeah.
[01:00:43] It's my husband.
[01:00:44] And she makes him.
[01:00:45] A horrible lie.
[01:00:46] And then gives her.
[01:00:47] Her phone.
[01:00:48] She's like.
[01:00:49] How do I contact you?
[01:00:50] And so she gives her.
[01:00:52] Her cell phone.
[01:00:53] And she puts it.
[01:00:54] In.
[01:00:55] Like the way.
[01:00:56] The scene happened.
[01:00:57] It just was insane.
[01:00:58] Like she just didn't walk out with it.
[01:01:00] She opens.
[01:01:02] Her trousers.
[01:01:04] And puts the phone.
[01:01:05] In her cooter kit.
[01:01:07] It was like.
[01:01:08] Why do you have a phone.
[01:01:09] Cat woman.
[01:01:12] It was like.
[01:01:13] I'm thinking.
[01:01:14] Like.
[01:01:14] I'm cat woman.
[01:01:15] Right.
[01:01:15] And I'm going to go see.
[01:01:17] Like.
[01:01:17] I don't need to call you.
[01:01:19] I'll just pop back up.
[01:01:21] Right.
[01:01:21] Yeah.
[01:01:22] Right.
[01:01:22] It's like.
[01:01:23] You don't need to get in touch with me.
[01:01:24] I'll get in touch with you.
[01:01:25] Like you already told me.
[01:01:26] Your husband.
[01:01:27] Tried to kill me.
[01:01:28] I just didn't like that.
[01:01:31] Sharon Stone's character just felt like she was the one in control.
[01:01:35] And.
[01:01:35] Yeah.
[01:01:36] Cat woman was dumb.
[01:01:38] Like there was no like.
[01:01:39] Fun.
[01:01:40] Come back.
[01:01:41] Nothing.
[01:01:41] It was just like.
[01:01:42] All of.
[01:01:43] The charm.
[01:01:45] And the witty.
[01:01:46] Like.
[01:01:46] Puns on being a cat.
[01:01:48] From Batman Returns.
[01:01:50] Are like.
[01:01:52] Clunky.
[01:01:53] Lines.
[01:01:54] That don't.
[01:01:55] Have any levity to them.
[01:01:58] And they just are delivered terribly.
[01:01:59] Like it's just.
[01:02:00] Bad.
[01:02:02] But.
[01:02:03] And aside from that.
[01:02:04] I was like.
[01:02:05] Oh.
[01:02:05] I wonder if.
[01:02:06] Because we are in the.
[01:02:08] In the realm of.
[01:02:10] Got milk ads.
[01:02:11] During this time.
[01:02:11] So I'm like.
[01:02:12] I wonder.
[01:02:13] Oh she did.
[01:02:13] Did a cat woman.
[01:02:15] Got milk ad.
[01:02:17] What twist?
[01:02:18] I can't find a got milk ad.
[01:02:20] I can find a clue ad.
[01:02:22] That says the perfect blend.
[01:02:25] I thought for sure she had it.
[01:02:28] And then.
[01:02:28] I gotta go look in my collection.
[01:02:31] Yeah.
[01:02:31] I see one for Anne Hathaway.
[01:02:33] But.
[01:02:34] Only clue up for Halle Berry so far.
[01:02:36] Huh.
[01:02:38] Absolutely.
[01:02:38] So anyway.
[01:02:40] Well it's just.
[01:02:42] It's even more of a hot mess from there.
[01:02:44] Like.
[01:02:45] She goes to the opera.
[01:02:48] Cirque du Soleil?
[01:02:49] Question mark.
[01:02:50] I don't know.
[01:02:51] It's a show.
[01:02:52] And old French.
[01:02:53] Frenchie is with his young new thing.
[01:02:57] And she starts.
[01:02:59] You know.
[01:02:59] Catwoman shows up to rough him up a bit.
[01:03:01] And then her boo is there.
[01:03:03] And the popo there.
[01:03:05] So she trying to hide.
[01:03:07] Then her and her boyfriend are in their face.
[01:03:09] To cuss with each other.
[01:03:10] Swing a lamp here.
[01:03:12] Swing a lamp there.
[01:03:13] I don't know what's going on.
[01:03:15] They're flirting.
[01:03:16] Maybe.
[01:03:17] Then he's like.
[01:03:19] In the middle of this.
[01:03:20] He's got time to be like.
[01:03:21] I'm a little psycho.
[01:03:23] But I'm a loyal psycho.
[01:03:24] And I love my loyal new girlfriend.
[01:03:27] And I'm taken.
[01:03:28] Y'all only been on.
[01:03:30] I'm like.
[01:03:30] That's not your girlfriend.
[01:03:31] Y'all been on two dates.
[01:03:33] He's crazy.
[01:03:34] You can't come up.
[01:03:37] Two dates.
[01:03:39] And what did she do?
[01:03:40] She licks his face.
[01:03:42] Makes out with him.
[01:03:43] I don't remember what she did.
[01:03:44] But it was weird.
[01:03:45] But he's able to.
[01:03:47] Use that.
[01:03:49] She takes a drink of water.
[01:03:51] And so he steals the glass.
[01:03:53] Because he has an inkling.
[01:03:54] He finds.
[01:03:55] One of her nails.
[01:03:56] On the floor.
[01:03:58] He does.
[01:03:58] He does.
[01:03:59] But like.
[01:03:59] He's able to get a lipstick sample.
[01:04:01] From the kiss on his cheek.
[01:04:03] Or something.
[01:04:04] It wasn't on his cheek.
[01:04:05] He.
[01:04:06] Once he finds the nail on the floor.
[01:04:08] But he compares it.
[01:04:09] He had.
[01:04:11] Oh yes.
[01:04:12] Yes.
[01:04:12] You are correct.
[01:04:14] Yeah.
[01:04:14] They took a photo.
[01:04:16] Of the.
[01:04:16] The lipstick on his cheek.
[01:04:18] You were right.
[01:04:18] Then the second.
[01:04:20] Sample is.
[01:04:21] Once he kind of figures out.
[01:04:23] She's Catwoman.
[01:04:24] He steals a glass.
[01:04:25] From her house.
[01:04:26] To compare.
[01:04:27] It was also like.
[01:04:28] The cops.
[01:04:29] So you're telling me.
[01:04:29] The cop.
[01:04:30] Like.
[01:04:31] After this.
[01:04:32] Took a picture.
[01:04:33] The kiss.
[01:04:34] Mark.
[01:04:34] I think.
[01:04:34] And then what?
[01:04:35] Swabbed.
[01:04:36] For DNA.
[01:04:38] It's just like.
[01:04:41] It's just like.
[01:04:42] I feel like.
[01:04:43] The nail would have been enough.
[01:04:45] I think the whole thing with the cup.
[01:04:47] Was weird.
[01:04:48] Because it's like.
[01:04:49] The necklace was stolen.
[01:04:51] Yeah.
[01:04:52] Right.
[01:04:52] Okay.
[01:04:54] That.
[01:04:55] Catwoman stole the necklace.
[01:04:57] You know that she has these nails.
[01:04:59] That are very specific.
[01:05:02] It's like.
[01:05:03] It was just like so silly.
[01:05:05] You needed to be sure.
[01:05:07] But also like.
[01:05:08] Come the fuck on man.
[01:05:12] It's.
[01:05:13] It's.
[01:05:13] Like at least the fingerprints.
[01:05:15] Like it would have made more sense.
[01:05:16] It's like okay.
[01:05:17] You dusted the sorry.
[01:05:18] I'm sorry bag for fingerprints.
[01:05:19] Or you dusted the jewelry for fingerprints.
[01:05:21] And you had a print.
[01:05:22] But didn't match anybody.
[01:05:23] And then you took the glass.
[01:05:25] Yeah.
[01:05:25] You saw the nail.
[01:05:26] And you took the glass.
[01:05:28] To check the fingerprints.
[01:05:29] That you got off the bag.
[01:05:30] And the jewelry.
[01:05:31] Would have made a whole lot more sense.
[01:05:32] Than like.
[01:05:33] Oh.
[01:05:33] The lipstick.
[01:05:34] That she kissed me with.
[01:05:36] Like.
[01:05:36] Like Mac don't.
[01:05:37] Make everybody have the same Mac.
[01:05:39] Fucking ruby red lipstick.
[01:05:40] It's just.
[01:05:41] Like what are we doing?
[01:05:43] Hot mess.
[01:05:44] He finally figures it out.
[01:05:46] And he's like.
[01:05:47] That's my bitch.
[01:05:48] Got her arrest her though.
[01:05:49] She goes in willingly.
[01:05:51] Crying like a little bitch.
[01:05:53] Cause this is patience now.
[01:05:55] Catwoman.
[01:05:55] I guess she's sleeping.
[01:05:57] I don't know.
[01:05:57] I don't know how the partnership.
[01:05:59] Fucking works.
[01:06:01] But she crying.
[01:06:02] They throw her in jail.
[01:06:05] Midnight comes to visit her.
[01:06:07] And she mad.
[01:06:08] Cause midnight ain't brought nothing to help her get out of this shit.
[01:06:11] But then she said.
[01:06:11] You know what?
[01:06:13] It's all right.
[01:06:13] Midnight.
[01:06:14] I'm gonna just walk through these.
[01:06:18] Bars.
[01:06:18] Bars.
[01:06:19] Yeah.
[01:06:19] I'm fine.
[01:06:20] I'm fine.
[01:06:21] I'm fine.
[01:06:22] She's like.
[01:06:22] I forgot.
[01:06:22] I'm a cat.
[01:06:24] It's like.
[01:06:25] Ow.
[01:06:26] Seriously.
[01:06:27] Fucking fuck.
[01:06:32] My bad.
[01:06:33] She gets to the bars.
[01:06:34] And I'm just like.
[01:06:35] How'd her head fit through that?
[01:06:37] How'd her boobs fit?
[01:06:38] She's a cat.
[01:06:40] Cats.
[01:06:41] You know.
[01:06:41] Cats can.
[01:06:42] Cats go like.
[01:06:43] Her bone structure is that of a cat.
[01:06:45] Don't ask too much questions.
[01:06:47] I guess not.
[01:06:49] Well.
[01:06:49] She escapes jail.
[01:06:51] Goes back to old girls.
[01:06:53] No.
[01:06:53] But this is the world's worst CGI scene.
[01:06:56] Which is dumb.
[01:06:58] I remember the first time.
[01:07:00] And I remember because that was in the trailer.
[01:07:03] And I saw.
[01:07:05] I remember seeing that.
[01:07:07] And I was like.
[01:07:08] What?
[01:07:08] The actual.
[01:07:10] I said.
[01:07:11] No.
[01:07:12] No.
[01:07:12] It was terrible.
[01:07:14] I was like.
[01:07:15] I don't want to see this movie.
[01:07:16] I waited until they came out.
[01:07:17] And I was like.
[01:07:18] Mom.
[01:07:19] Just rent it.
[01:07:20] Just rent it.
[01:07:22] Well.
[01:07:23] And it's like.
[01:07:23] The worst fight scene ever.
[01:07:26] It's like.
[01:07:26] It's nonsensical.
[01:07:28] We.
[01:07:29] This is when we find out.
[01:07:32] Laurel.
[01:07:32] Has a face of marble.
[01:07:34] And so.
[01:07:34] They're fighting.
[01:07:36] And.
[01:07:37] Eventually.
[01:07:38] Patience is able to get her.
[01:07:40] Like.
[01:07:40] Up against a paint.
[01:07:41] A paint of glass.
[01:07:43] That's like.
[01:07:44] Tilted.
[01:07:44] And so she punches through the glass.
[01:07:46] And Laurel falls.
[01:07:47] I swear.
[01:07:48] If you told me.
[01:07:50] They used a cabbage patch doll.
[01:07:52] To like.
[01:07:54] In that scene.
[01:07:55] Like the way the body was feeling.
[01:07:57] I'm like.
[01:07:57] That body is just made out of cloths.
[01:07:59] That's looking like a person.
[01:08:01] At a certain point.
[01:08:02] It looked like.
[01:08:03] She was.
[01:08:04] She was.
[01:08:04] Like Sharon Stone was wearing all white.
[01:08:07] Right?
[01:08:07] Yeah.
[01:08:07] Right.
[01:08:07] At a certain point.
[01:08:09] All you see.
[01:08:10] Is what looks like.
[01:08:12] Somebody photo.
[01:08:12] Like.
[01:08:13] Went in illustrator.
[01:08:14] And drew like.
[01:08:15] The outline of all white.
[01:08:17] Yeah.
[01:08:17] And had.
[01:08:17] Just like.
[01:08:18] Had it fall.
[01:08:19] It was like.
[01:08:19] At some point.
[01:08:19] It was just.
[01:08:20] A white blob.
[01:08:21] Like.
[01:08:22] You didn't.
[01:08:22] Like.
[01:08:23] Grant.
[01:08:23] Sharon Stone doesn't have a lot of hair.
[01:08:24] But you didn't even see hair.
[01:08:26] Or like.
[01:08:26] She was wearing like.
[01:08:27] A tank top.
[01:08:28] And some pants.
[01:08:29] All of a sudden.
[01:08:29] Like.
[01:08:30] The whole body was white.
[01:08:32] She turned into a ghost.
[01:08:34] On the way down.
[01:08:35] It was just like.
[01:08:36] Like snow white.
[01:08:37] When the witch falls off the thing.
[01:08:39] And it was just like.
[01:08:41] The thingy.
[01:08:41] I was like.
[01:08:42] This is ridiculous.
[01:08:43] This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
[01:08:46] And that's.
[01:08:46] It made me mad.
[01:08:47] Because I'm like.
[01:08:47] Y'all had money.
[01:08:49] Maybe all the.
[01:08:49] A hundred million dollars.
[01:08:51] Maybe all the reshoots.
[01:08:52] Like.
[01:08:52] Took them.
[01:08:53] You know.
[01:08:54] And I feel like.
[01:08:55] That was like.
[01:08:55] When Halle Berry was making.
[01:08:56] At least.
[01:08:57] I feel like she was making.
[01:08:58] Like at least 15 million.
[01:09:00] And I don't know how much.
[01:09:01] Sharon Stone.
[01:09:02] She expansed it.
[01:09:03] So I feel like.
[01:09:04] Half that money.
[01:09:04] Must have went to.
[01:09:06] Halle and Sharon.
[01:09:07] Or something.
[01:09:07] Because it don't make sense.
[01:09:08] Well that makes me feel better.
[01:09:10] How much she was paid for.
[01:09:12] But at some.
[01:09:13] During this whole thing.
[01:09:15] She does convince.
[01:09:16] Her boo.
[01:09:17] That like.
[01:09:18] They should be in this together.
[01:09:20] Because she knows.
[01:09:21] Who really did this.
[01:09:23] Or whatever.
[01:09:24] The side plot.
[01:09:25] Of her friend Sally.
[01:09:27] Finding the doctor boyfriend.
[01:09:29] And she told her.
[01:09:30] To stop using the chemicals.
[01:09:32] And she's fine.
[01:09:33] Fine.
[01:09:34] I missed that.
[01:09:35] I was like.
[01:09:36] Who's this man.
[01:09:36] At the end of the movie.
[01:09:39] I was like.
[01:09:40] What?
[01:09:41] Where's this man?
[01:09:41] I was like.
[01:09:41] Why?
[01:09:42] I was like.
[01:09:42] Okay.
[01:09:43] And her little boyfriend.
[01:09:44] Or whatever.
[01:09:45] He got shot.
[01:09:46] At some point.
[01:09:47] So he bleeding out.
[01:09:50] Anywho.
[01:09:51] They able to like.
[01:09:52] Wrap this all up.
[01:09:54] I don't even know.
[01:09:55] What happened at the end.
[01:09:56] I think she's with her boyfriend.
[01:09:57] I think she's with the cats.
[01:09:59] I don't really know.
[01:09:59] No.
[01:09:59] It was like.
[01:10:00] I feel like.
[01:10:01] She had escaped prison.
[01:10:04] Right?
[01:10:05] Oh.
[01:10:05] He tells her to go back.
[01:10:06] He tells her to go back.
[01:10:07] And I'm like.
[01:10:07] Okay.
[01:10:08] Let's just stop and think about this for a second.
[01:10:10] She's been gone for hours.
[01:10:13] I've never been to jail.
[01:10:16] But.
[01:10:17] I know enough about jail.
[01:10:20] Where like.
[01:10:21] There's cameras.
[01:10:23] Right?
[01:10:23] Somebody's doing rounds.
[01:10:25] Yeah.
[01:10:25] This woman has been missing.
[01:10:28] For at minimum.
[01:10:30] And don't even get me started.
[01:10:31] Because how'd she get the fucking costume?
[01:10:33] She got arrested.
[01:10:35] In the costume.
[01:10:37] Didn't she get arrested in the costume?
[01:10:39] No.
[01:10:39] At Sharon Stone's house?
[01:10:40] Was that tripping?
[01:10:42] I could have sworn they arrested her.
[01:10:44] In the costume.
[01:10:45] What is?
[01:10:45] Yeah.
[01:10:45] But when she was getting interrogated.
[01:10:47] She was in a different set of clothes.
[01:10:49] Yeah.
[01:10:49] I feel like they gave her like.
[01:10:51] Bitch.
[01:10:51] You know.
[01:10:51] We're not going to interrogate you in this suit.
[01:10:53] They gave her a sweatsuit.
[01:10:54] So I'm like.
[01:10:55] How'd you get the suit back.
[01:10:56] Catwoman?
[01:10:58] She stole it.
[01:10:58] You got arrested.
[01:11:00] No.
[01:11:00] But she.
[01:11:01] She just leaves.
[01:11:02] Okay.
[01:11:02] What point did she go back?
[01:11:03] Did I miss when she went back to get the suit?
[01:11:05] Did she make her back?
[01:11:06] Midnight came back and rolled it up.
[01:11:09] Maybe.
[01:11:10] Maybe she was still wearing the suit.
[01:11:12] They just made her put the sweatshirt on.
[01:11:14] Over it.
[01:11:16] Or.
[01:11:16] Because her titties couldn't be out of the precinct.
[01:11:19] Or she has two suits.
[01:11:22] Some.
[01:11:23] But I was like.
[01:11:23] She only had one leather outfit.
[01:11:24] That's why I was like.
[01:11:25] Girl.
[01:11:25] What are we doing here?
[01:11:26] How you got this suit now?
[01:11:27] All of a sudden.
[01:11:28] What if.
[01:11:29] Midnight.
[01:11:30] Is actually a shapeshifter.
[01:11:32] And like.
[01:11:33] Shapeshifted in the cell.
[01:11:34] So it looked like.
[01:11:35] Patience was in there.
[01:11:36] Until she got back.
[01:11:37] Some had to have.
[01:11:38] Because it made no sense.
[01:11:39] I was like.
[01:11:40] This woman's been gone for hours.
[01:11:42] People.
[01:11:43] The cops do.
[01:11:44] Like.
[01:11:45] Sometimes they do their job.
[01:11:46] Like they make.
[01:11:47] They do.
[01:11:48] You know what I mean?
[01:11:49] They do their job.
[01:11:49] So it's like.
[01:11:50] You want me to believe.
[01:11:51] That this woman was gone.
[01:11:52] For at least.
[01:11:54] At minimum.
[01:11:55] Three.
[01:11:55] Four hours.
[01:11:56] She had time to kill.
[01:11:57] Wiley.
[01:11:58] And at that time.
[01:12:00] Not a single.
[01:12:01] Fucking person.
[01:12:02] Said.
[01:12:03] This bitch is gone.
[01:12:04] And then.
[01:12:05] That's like.
[01:12:06] Well you know.
[01:12:06] She's back in her cell.
[01:12:07] By morning.
[01:12:08] Yeah.
[01:12:09] She was on four hours.
[01:12:12] It's not 1952.
[01:12:13] Y'all have CCTV.
[01:12:15] How would you not know.
[01:12:16] That she's gone.
[01:12:17] Right.
[01:12:17] And then she goes back.
[01:12:18] And that just clears the whole thing up.
[01:12:20] You.
[01:12:20] You suddenly can't be Catwoman.
[01:12:23] Because Catwoman.
[01:12:24] We arrested you.
[01:12:27] The end.
[01:12:27] It was so.
[01:12:28] Like.
[01:12:28] You arrested this woman.
[01:12:31] Dressed like Catwoman.
[01:12:33] Not like.
[01:12:33] You didn't pick her up.
[01:12:35] Or did they pick.
[01:12:36] Did he pick her up.
[01:12:37] Not dressed like Catwoman.
[01:12:40] You know.
[01:12:40] I don't think they did pick her up.
[01:12:42] Dressed like Catwoman.
[01:12:43] Well.
[01:12:44] All you had to do.
[01:12:45] But you.
[01:12:46] It just didn't make you.
[01:12:47] But you told me.
[01:12:48] You had all.
[01:12:48] You had physical evidence.
[01:12:50] All that licking.
[01:12:51] And fingerprints.
[01:12:52] And all this shit.
[01:12:53] You had all this physical evidence.
[01:12:55] That this woman is Catwoman.
[01:12:58] Right.
[01:12:58] And.
[01:12:59] And the only thing.
[01:13:00] It got her off.
[01:13:01] Was like.
[01:13:02] Well Catwoman killed Sharon Stone.
[01:13:03] So you can't be Catwoman.
[01:13:04] Because.
[01:13:05] You've been out of your cell.
[01:13:07] For four hours.
[01:13:08] What if.
[01:13:10] Well.
[01:13:11] Number one.
[01:13:12] To your point.
[01:13:13] It would have been really easy.
[01:13:14] To prove.
[01:13:15] That it was Patience.
[01:13:17] That killed Sharon Stone.
[01:13:18] Because you just get fingerprints.
[01:13:20] From.
[01:13:21] The scene of the crime.
[01:13:23] Like you can't.
[01:13:24] Fake those.
[01:13:26] But also.
[01:13:26] So.
[01:13:27] I wonder.
[01:13:28] If.
[01:13:29] Benjamin Bratt.
[01:13:30] Just destroyed evidence.
[01:13:31] In the name of love.
[01:13:33] But then also like.
[01:13:34] Wouldn't somebody be like.
[01:13:36] Benjamin Bratt.
[01:13:38] So your girl.
[01:13:38] You rearrested your girlfriend.
[01:13:41] And.
[01:13:42] Now your girlfriend.
[01:13:43] All the evidence.
[01:13:44] Pointing to where your girlfriend.
[01:13:46] Disappeared.
[01:13:46] Like.
[01:13:47] He would have to replace that.
[01:13:48] You know what I mean?
[01:13:49] He didn't check it himself.
[01:13:51] If he had checked it himself.
[01:13:52] On the sneak.
[01:13:53] But it's like.
[01:13:53] You handed it off.
[01:13:54] To like.
[01:13:55] The crime scene investigators.
[01:13:57] Yeah.
[01:13:57] And they did it.
[01:13:58] It's not like Dexter.
[01:13:59] Like when Dexter was the crime.
[01:14:00] He could make it go away.
[01:14:01] Because Dexter was also.
[01:14:02] Doing the crime.
[01:14:03] The CSI.
[01:14:04] The conclusion made no sense.
[01:14:06] Like she just wrote a letter.
[01:14:07] She's like.
[01:14:08] Oh I'm gonna go be.
[01:14:09] Benjamin Bratt did all.
[01:14:11] Like risked his whole damn life.
[01:14:13] And his job.
[01:14:14] For this woman.
[01:14:15] And she's like.
[01:14:15] I'm gonna go be a badass somewhere else.
[01:14:17] Yeah.
[01:14:18] Walking like this.
[01:14:19] With the cat.
[01:14:21] The way you move.
[01:14:23] So scandalous.
[01:14:24] All about.
[01:14:25] The two of us.
[01:14:26] It's stupid.
[01:14:28] Well.
[01:14:29] Okay.
[01:14:30] Oh.
[01:14:32] Oh boy.
[01:14:34] Well that is Catwoman.
[01:14:36] I feel your pain friend.
[01:14:38] Trust me.
[01:14:39] Some fun facts that we missed.
[01:14:42] I have some feedback from.
[01:14:44] Catwoman herself.
[01:14:46] Halle Berry.
[01:14:47] So.
[01:14:47] Reese.
[01:14:48] More recently.
[01:14:49] She was interviewed.
[01:14:50] And she said.
[01:14:51] She knew Catwoman wasn't quite right.
[01:14:54] When she was making it.
[01:14:56] She was talking.
[01:14:57] She opened up about.
[01:14:58] How it was.
[01:14:59] Disappoint.
[01:15:00] It was more disappointing moments.
[01:15:01] In her career.
[01:15:03] Including the fact that she didn't get.
[01:15:05] The spinoff.
[01:15:06] For Jinx.
[01:15:07] For James Bond.
[01:15:08] She said it was very disappointing.
[01:15:10] It was ahead of its time.
[01:15:11] Nobody was ready to sink.
[01:15:12] That kind of money.
[01:15:13] Into a black female action star.
[01:15:15] They just weren't sure.
[01:15:16] Of its value.
[01:15:17] That's where we were then.
[01:15:19] So instead of the spinoff.
[01:15:20] She decided to do.
[01:15:22] This.
[01:15:22] The anti-hero Catwoman.
[01:15:24] And people were saying to her.
[01:15:25] You can't do that.
[01:15:26] You just won an Oscar.
[01:15:28] Because.
[01:15:29] I didn't do Jinx.
[01:15:30] I thought.
[01:15:31] Okay.
[01:15:31] This is a great chance.
[01:15:32] For a woman of color.
[01:15:33] To be a superhero.
[01:15:34] Why wouldn't I try this?
[01:15:36] But.
[01:15:37] She soon realized.
[01:15:38] That when.
[01:15:39] She was filming.
[01:15:40] It was flawed.
[01:15:41] She said.
[01:15:41] The story didn't feel.
[01:15:43] Quite right.
[01:15:44] She.
[01:15:45] Said.
[01:15:45] In reference to.
[01:15:46] Sharon Stone's villain.
[01:15:47] And her evil.
[01:15:49] Plot.
[01:15:50] Involving harmful cosmetics.
[01:15:51] I remember having an argument.
[01:15:53] Why can't Catwoman.
[01:15:54] Save the world.
[01:15:55] Like Batman and Superman.
[01:15:56] And do.
[01:15:57] Why is she.
[01:15:58] Just saving.
[01:15:59] A woman.
[01:16:00] From a face cream.
[01:16:01] That cracks their face off.
[01:16:02] But I was just an actor.
[01:16:04] For hire.
[01:16:05] I wasn't a director.
[01:16:06] I had very little say.
[01:16:08] Over that.
[01:16:09] But she read that script.
[01:16:10] This is my beef.
[01:16:11] When people do shit like that.
[01:16:12] After the fact.
[01:16:13] It's like.
[01:16:14] Unless.
[01:16:16] They gave you.
[01:16:17] The Michelle Pfeiffer script.
[01:16:19] Right.
[01:16:19] You signed on.
[01:16:21] And then.
[01:16:22] After you signed on.
[01:16:23] They give you that piece of crap.
[01:16:25] Yeah.
[01:16:25] Yeah.
[01:16:26] You read it.
[01:16:27] Halle Berry.
[01:16:28] And she read.
[01:16:29] The even shittier version.
[01:16:32] Before the rewrite.
[01:16:34] It's like you.
[01:16:35] I can see if they baited.
[01:16:36] Switched her.
[01:16:37] Yeah.
[01:16:38] Right.
[01:16:38] If she had said.
[01:16:39] They gave me the original script.
[01:16:41] And then I signed on.
[01:16:42] Because I liked the original script.
[01:16:43] But then like.
[01:16:44] They did a complete whole rewrite.
[01:16:46] And it was something else.
[01:16:47] And I.
[01:16:47] But I had already signed on.
[01:16:49] To do this movie.
[01:16:50] Which.
[01:16:50] Different than.
[01:16:51] I read it.
[01:16:52] And I was like.
[01:16:53] All right.
[01:16:53] Let's do this.
[01:16:54] But sometimes you.
[01:16:55] You sign on to the project.
[01:16:57] Before you get.
[01:16:57] The script might not have even.
[01:16:59] Had.
[01:16:59] The script might not have even been done.
[01:17:02] But the fact that it's Catwoman.
[01:17:04] Like.
[01:17:05] I'll come to you Ashley.
[01:17:06] I'm like.
[01:17:06] You can.
[01:17:07] You're going to play Catwoman.
[01:17:08] We're going to try to make it.
[01:17:10] Close to the Tim Burton version.
[01:17:13] Like we're going to make it a solo movie.
[01:17:15] You're going to sign on.
[01:17:16] Right.
[01:17:16] No.
[01:17:17] I'm going to read it.
[01:17:19] Well.
[01:17:20] She signed on.
[01:17:21] My daddy is a lawyer.
[01:17:22] I don't sign nothing.
[01:17:23] Until I'm done with it.
[01:17:26] Well.
[01:17:26] She must have.
[01:17:27] I think she signed on.
[01:17:28] Before the script was finalized.
[01:17:30] And then when she saw that shit.
[01:17:31] She was like.
[01:17:32] Well.
[01:17:34] I'm in it already.
[01:17:35] You know.
[01:17:36] I looked.
[01:17:37] And she got paid 14 million.
[01:17:39] For this movie.
[01:17:39] Yeah.
[01:17:40] So.
[01:17:40] I mean.
[01:17:41] There you go.
[01:17:42] After taxes.
[01:17:43] That's like.
[01:17:43] A smooth.
[01:17:45] Like 10.
[01:17:46] I just.
[01:17:47] I just.
[01:17:48] Hope that she goes on in her career.
[01:17:51] And the next time someone tells her.
[01:17:53] To be any comic book character.
[01:17:55] She says no.
[01:17:56] She's done enough.
[01:17:57] You know.
[01:17:57] I didn't hate.
[01:17:59] X-Men.
[01:17:59] I didn't like that they made her do that weird accent.
[01:18:02] But I didn't hate X-Men.
[01:18:03] The way you feel about Catwoman.
[01:18:05] Is the way I feel about Storm.
[01:18:07] And so I will never in my life.
[01:18:10] Agree to that.
[01:18:11] I didn't.
[01:18:12] Nothing.
[01:18:13] Nothing raised me more.
[01:18:15] I didn't like.
[01:18:15] I like the movies.
[01:18:16] As a whole.
[01:18:18] I think.
[01:18:19] I enjoyed the movies.
[01:18:20] As a whole.
[01:18:21] I never really like.
[01:18:23] I don't.
[01:18:23] I don't.
[01:18:23] I feel like.
[01:18:24] The Storm was weird.
[01:18:25] I think they lost me.
[01:18:26] With the accent.
[01:18:28] I don't like.
[01:18:29] I was like.
[01:18:31] You don't have to give Aurora an accent.
[01:18:33] She can just.
[01:18:34] Just talk.
[01:18:35] They lost me at her complexion.
[01:18:38] They lost me at her characteristics.
[01:18:41] They lost me at her.
[01:18:42] They're getting.
[01:18:43] Hit with some stupid shit from a frog.
[01:18:46] Or some bullshit.
[01:18:47] And she like fell over.
[01:18:48] Like.
[01:18:49] You know what happens to a frog when he gets struck by lightning?
[01:18:53] Don't.
[01:18:54] Just.
[01:18:54] Don't.
[01:18:55] That was hilarious.
[01:18:56] I remember just thinking that was so funny.
[01:18:59] No.
[01:18:59] I'm sorry.
[01:19:00] The first X-Men.
[01:19:01] The first X-Men movie.
[01:19:03] Is.
[01:19:04] Is objectively terrible.
[01:19:05] The second one.
[01:19:07] Is.
[01:19:08] Is pretty decent.
[01:19:10] I think they realized.
[01:19:11] That how ridiculous the first one is.
[01:19:14] And kind of cleaned it up a little bit.
[01:19:16] And then.
[01:19:17] I think.
[01:19:19] Was.
[01:19:19] Is there a third one?
[01:19:20] Yes.
[01:19:21] Is that where.
[01:19:22] Is the third one where.
[01:19:24] Oh yeah.
[01:19:24] The third one's when people get the shots.
[01:19:26] Yeah.
[01:19:26] That one was terrible.
[01:19:29] Right.
[01:19:29] The second one was good.
[01:19:31] The first and the third were terrible.
[01:19:33] And then they were just like.
[01:19:34] Let's just make Hugh Jackman movies.
[01:19:37] And then we got Days of Futures Past.
[01:19:39] And I was like.
[01:19:40] Why?
[01:19:40] Do we need these?
[01:19:42] I just.
[01:19:45] When I get to heaven.
[01:19:49] There's a few questions I got.
[01:19:52] Like Lord.
[01:19:53] Explain.
[01:19:54] The X-Men movies.
[01:19:57] That's on my list.
[01:19:58] I get to heaven.
[01:19:59] I'm going to have beef with.
[01:20:00] Me and the good sisters at.
[01:20:01] The detective comments in Warner Brothers.
[01:20:04] Be like.
[01:20:04] How?
[01:20:05] Why?
[01:20:05] What happened?
[01:20:07] Explain it to me.
[01:20:09] Tell me what happened.
[01:20:10] One of Halle Berry's stunt.
[01:20:12] And body doubles.
[01:20:13] Is a.
[01:20:14] The 29 year old.
[01:20:15] Hawaiian male actor.
[01:20:16] Nito LaRosa.
[01:20:18] Larioza.
[01:20:19] An expert in martial arts.
[01:20:22] Okay.
[01:20:24] More female stunt performers.
[01:20:26] Yeah.
[01:20:28] Catwoman has been portrayed in live action by more actors than any other comic book villain.
[01:20:33] Julie Newmar.
[01:20:34] And.
[01:20:35] And.
[01:20:35] We met.
[01:20:36] Meriwether.
[01:20:37] Michelle Pfeiffer.
[01:20:38] Halle Berry.
[01:20:38] Anne Hathaway.
[01:20:39] Cameron.
[01:20:41] Vinkendova.
[01:20:42] Lily Simmons.
[01:20:43] And Zoe Kravitz.
[01:20:44] As of 2022.
[01:20:45] 22.
[01:20:47] And Missy Peregrim.
[01:20:50] Appears uncredited as the Hedare factory computer monitor image depicting the bad effects of the beauty product.
[01:20:57] Is that the girl from Stick It?
[01:20:59] I think so.
[01:21:01] I think you're right.
[01:21:02] Oh.
[01:21:03] You know I love Stick It.
[01:21:05] Also.
[01:21:06] We did not touch upon the fact that Buleen is the worst name for a beauty line I have ever heard in my life.
[01:21:14] I thought of cows automatically.
[01:21:15] I don't know why.
[01:21:17] It was just so weird.
[01:21:19] Because I was like.
[01:21:20] No.
[01:21:20] That would never make it.
[01:21:21] Like as someone who work in marketing forever.
[01:21:23] That would not make it through product development.
[01:21:26] Yeah.
[01:21:26] Not in the slightest.
[01:21:27] Like you came up with when you were like tired at like 12 o'clock.
[01:21:31] Somebody just said Buleen.
[01:21:33] It sounds like.
[01:21:34] Honestly it sounds like some girl who's from like the middle of nowhere in Georgia.
[01:21:40] It's like.
[01:21:40] What's your name?
[01:21:41] Buleen.
[01:21:43] Buleen.
[01:21:44] Buleen.
[01:21:45] Buleen.
[01:21:47] Buleen.
[01:21:48] It sounds like she should be whistling Dixie somewhere.
[01:21:51] It's just a weird name.
[01:21:53] Well before we get into ratings.
[01:21:54] Why don't you tell everyone where they can find you on social.
[01:21:57] I am on Instagram.
[01:22:00] And the Tiki Talk.
[01:22:01] At Smashley Boyd.
[01:22:04] And you guys can find us at No More Late Fees.
[01:22:07] Instagram.
[01:22:08] Facebook.
[01:22:08] TikTok.
[01:22:09] Twitter.
[01:22:09] YouTube.
[01:22:09] And threads.
[01:22:10] And Ashley.
[01:22:12] I don't think I have to ask.
[01:22:14] But just for shits and giggles.
[01:22:16] What's your today's rating.
[01:22:18] Present day rating of this movie.
[01:22:20] Burn it.
[01:22:22] Burn it.
[01:22:23] Not even same day rental.
[01:22:25] Like I hate that you have to watch this movie.
[01:22:28] Danielle.
[01:22:32] Like you had lived your life.
[01:22:34] Not knowing.
[01:22:36] In bliss.
[01:22:37] In blissful ignorance.
[01:22:39] Of the ridiculousness.
[01:22:42] That is cat woman.
[01:22:45] It's hard for me.
[01:22:47] Because obviously I know you guys.
[01:22:49] Probably think I should say same day rental.
[01:22:51] Right.
[01:22:51] But we also saw this movie recently called.
[01:22:55] What was that clown movie?
[01:22:58] Oh.
[01:22:59] Killjoy.
[01:23:00] Yeah.
[01:23:01] That set a bar.
[01:23:03] For terrible.
[01:23:05] It's beyond terrible.
[01:23:07] You know those black tubie movies now?
[01:23:09] I love black tubie movies.
[01:23:11] They're so.
[01:23:12] They're so bad.
[01:23:14] They're so bad.
[01:23:15] But this one was like.
[01:23:17] Ten layers lower than that.
[01:23:20] Student film.
[01:23:21] Pretty much.
[01:23:22] Yes.
[01:23:22] That's the vibe.
[01:23:23] That's what it felt like.
[01:23:25] And so.
[01:23:27] I'm going to say two day rental.
[01:23:29] Because again.
[01:23:31] It's not.
[01:23:32] Two days.
[01:23:33] Because you would have to stop it.
[01:23:34] Halfway through.
[01:23:35] Yeah.
[01:23:36] I wouldn't finish it in one sitting.
[01:23:39] But yeah.
[01:23:40] It's bad.
[01:23:42] But it's not the worst thing I've ever seen.
[01:23:45] Same day rental for me.
[01:23:47] Based on the fact that they named the cat Midnight alone.
[01:23:51] Great cat.
[01:23:53] A whole ass great cat.
[01:23:54] Great cat with the most generic name.
[01:23:56] And it's supposed to be an ancient Egyptian.
[01:24:00] Spiritual.
[01:24:02] Power having.
[01:24:03] Not even Sphinx.
[01:24:04] Yeah.
[01:24:05] Sphinx.
[01:24:05] If they had named it Sphinxie.
[01:24:07] It would have been better than Midnight.
[01:24:09] As a gray cat.
[01:24:11] I kind of like.
[01:24:12] Midnight where?
[01:24:12] Juno, Alaska in the summer?
[01:24:14] Like.
[01:24:15] I like Toby.
[01:24:17] Toby.
[01:24:19] Like.
[01:24:20] As far as ridiculous names for a.
[01:24:23] For a.
[01:24:24] Ancient cat god go.
[01:24:25] Yeah.
[01:24:25] I think Toby may have been.
[01:24:27] Would have been fun.
[01:24:29] Yeah.
[01:24:29] At least it's like.
[01:24:30] Okay.
[01:24:31] We're just giving cats human names.
[01:24:33] Maybe that was his.
[01:24:34] His.
[01:24:35] God given name in ancient Egypt.
[01:24:37] We don't know.
[01:24:38] Maybe.
[01:24:39] I'm still.
[01:24:40] I'm still holding out.
[01:24:41] If I ever get another bunny.
[01:24:43] I'm gonna call him.
[01:24:44] Mr. Belvedere.
[01:24:45] I like it.
[01:24:49] Well.
[01:24:50] If you have anything to add.
[01:24:52] To this.
[01:24:52] Cat woman conversation.
[01:24:54] It is a better quick job.
[01:24:55] 909-601-NMLF.
[01:24:58] Tweet us at the twitters.
[01:24:59] Hem us at the threads.
[01:25:00] And you can be featured.
[01:25:01] On a future episode.
[01:25:03] And join us next week.
[01:25:05] As we go undercover.
[01:25:07] With 2004's.
[01:25:09] White chicks.
[01:25:10] And don't forget.
[01:25:11] To come back later this week.
[01:25:13] For the bonus episode.
