National Treasure is a 2004 American action-adventure film released by Walt Disney Pictures and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The movie follows historian and code-breaker Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage). He’s been searching his whole life for a rumored treasure dating back to the creation of the United States. Joining his expedition is fellow treasure hunter Ian Howe (Sean Bean), and kidnapped/in for the ride Dr. Abigail Chase, an archivist at the National Archives. Gates and his crew have to race against the clock, the FBI and a former colleague to get to the treasure of a lifetime.
